FUJIFILM X-S1 Point & Shoot Camera  (Black)

From Fujifilm’s X series of premium digital cameras comes the X-S1, which represents a new breed of bridge cameras enhanced with the latest standards in design and performance. Giving you the opportunity to capture amazingly bright and clear is the X-S1’s high precision Fujinon 26x optical zoom lens that has a focal length of 6.1 mm - 158.6 mm or a 35 mm equivalent of 24 mm - 624 mm. This very capable wide angle lens with the camera’s powerful EXR CMOS sensor gives it an optical sensor resolution of 12 megapixel with the addition of 2x digital zoom.

Sporting a design that is closely comparable to a standard DSLR, this Fujifilm bridge camera weighs 945 g including the battery and memory card. The combination of the super-efficient image sensor and the 12 megapixel resolution gives this Fujifilm camera the ability to record Full HD 1920 x 1080 pixel resolution video with stereo sound at 30 fps. The presence of a 0.47 inch electronic viewfinder with a TFT colour LCD display lets you perfect your picture framing and composition. The back panel of the X-S1 contains a 3 inch LCD tilt screen with a display resolution of 460,000 pixels for clear and sharp image viewing.

Battery and Storage

Powered by a NP-95 rechargeable lithium-ion battery, this Fujifilm bridge camera can take up to 500 shots on a single full charge using the electronic viewfinder. The captured images are saved in the JPEG (EXIF 2.3), RAW or RAW + JPEG formats while the high definition videos are saved in the H.264 (MOV) file format with Stereo sound.

These captured media files are stored in the camera’s memory device which is in the form of an SD, SDHC or SDXC (UHS-I) memory card. These saved media files can easily be transferred to a PC or a laptop through the camera’s high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. This camera also features a composite AV out which supports both NTSC and PAL compatibility along with HDMI Mini connectivity giving you the option to enjoy your images and videos on a standard or a high definition television.

Performance

With tan aperture control range of f/2.8 - f/5.6, this X-S1 features a TTL contrast detection autofocus system with a normal focusing range from 30 cm (Wide) and 2 m (Tele) to infinity. It further has a macro focus range of 7 cm and a 1 cm super macro function for getting those perfect frame-filling close-up shots.

With a light sensitivity or ISO speed ranging from ISO 100 to an amazing ISO 12800 along with a shutter speed of 30 sec to 1/4000 sec gives you the ability to be in complete control of your shooting range. Featuring a built-in pop-up flash unit with a range of 30 cm - 8 m (Wide) and 2 m – 4 m (Tele) the X-S1 has the ability to capture stunning images regardless of the lighting conditions. There is also the inclusion of a Hot Shoe or an additional provision for an external flash attachment to provide increased lighting for your photographs.

Features

The presence of pre-programed white balancing modes along with a number of shooting modes let you capture images in a variety of image temperature and colour tones. The optical lens shift image stabilizer works to keep your captured images clear, sharp and blur-free. The X-S1’s Face Detection functions make it easy to shoot perfect portraits and group shots without red eyes with the help of the on-board Red Eye Reduction technology.

The availability of PictBridge technology allows you to connect the camera directly to a printer without a PC, enabling easy direct photo printing. The self-timer function on this bridge camera has a 2 sec and 10 sec delay while the continuous mode allows it to shoot at a maximum rate of 10 fps, giving you very convenient and flexible shooting options.
