Brilliant!
This is an excellent book for someone looking for crystal clear concepts in physics. Reasons:
1. Takes you from the very beginning of everything. High-school maths will do only a bit, one must have a sound understanding of Calculus. Always remember, Mathematics is the language of science.
2. One feels as if the writer is actually sitting by your side, the language makes you think. They tell you how the principles really apply in the surrounding world.
3. Super presentation. Everything is nicely laid out. Neat and beautiful diagrams.
This is a must-have if you really want your concepts clear, and enjoy science.

A fairy-tale book for physics enthusiasts and students
This book is really very fascinating treatise on theoretical and applied physics. It deals with all aspects of a topic right from its daily examples through, till the most complicated uses, in a really amazing narrative style and well-presented content.
There must be many people like me who have developed a real interest in physics after going through this book, because the beginning of each chapter has an amazing fact relating to that concepts in the chapter which are to be studied, this stimulates the reader to know what exactly the answer to that question is, and the book clears all the conceptual doubts one has. It has nearly 100 or more numerical problems on each chapter, each providing a new insight into the concepts involved in the lesson and helps the student acquire skills for ENTRANCE TESTS. THE ULTIMATE TEXTBOOK FOR PHYSICS.

Be ready to be blown away !
This one book can move your entire thinking. It has the power to influence your choices, your taste. It is just impossible to ignore the lucid writing and logical approach to Physics.
This book is pre-graduation level. I still remember ( very vividly ) the days when I prepared for IIT JEE from this book. It cleared my fundamentals so well that even now, Physics remains my favorite subject.
There are some books that you would like to always keep with your self. This surely falls in that category.
Buy it and blow yourself away !! :)

It is great book for physics lovers.
1 The language is very simple but gives a deep impression in up mind.
2. Their is great number of everyday examples which would help you to connect abstract theories to things of daily life.
3.Every chapter opens with a picture and a question related to the topic which will make you eager to read the chapter.
4.there are great number of pictures and diagram throughout the book
5. The proof of many formulas are given in very simple manner,
