Summary Of The Book

The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is jointly conducted by the seven IITs, and IISc. The GATE exam is conducted to test the candidate’s knowledge of the subject that they have chosen for their exam.

The score is used to select candidates for admission to various technical postgraduate courses. The candidate can choose from several subjects like Aerospace Engineering, Chemistry, Architecture and Planning, Computer Science and Information Technology etc.

The exam contains General Aptitude questions and subject questions. It is for a duration of 3 hours, for a maximum of 100 marks.

Gate Papers: Computer Science & Information Technology begins by explaining the basics of the Gate exam structure, and the syllabus for Computer Science and Information technology. The GATE syllabus for this subject is divided into two sections, Engineering Mathematics and Computer Science and Information technology.

Engineering Mathematics covers Mathematical Logic, Probability, Set Theory & Algebra, Combinations, Graph Theory, Linear Algebra, Numerical Methods, and Calculus.

Computer Science and Information Technology section covers Digital Logic, Computer Organization and Architecture, Programming and Data Structures, Algorithms, Theory of Computation, Compiler Design, Operating System, Databases, Information Systems and Software Engineering, Computer Networks, and Web Technologies.

Good as per expectations from Arihant

This is Good book as you expect from Arihant.Arihant publishes only this book for CSE paper in GATE.Very few errors. this book has good number of questions with good solutions. I liked the book for its short and crisp solutions. Helped me a lot in preparing for GATE.

As expected a Nice book by arihant...

the best thing i like about this book is the pattern it has...firstly, it solves a question paper for you and gives a complete picture about GATE. then it shoots topic wise year wise questions(instead of giving question answer one after the other). this gives you a chance to work out yourself and finally it gives answers with detailed explanation and justification. its provided with model question paper at the end of the book...As expected from Arihant a very good book.

Bad book, many mistakes

do not trust the solutions of this books, horrible mistakes. Arihant Publications is quite new in GATE preparation books and introducing new authors is very risky business. Do not trust any of the solutions. I found 75% wrong solutions in this book

Those who has already knows the subject(s) can through this to have a quick reference. Before an exam or interview test your skills by solving these questions. A details explanation is an added advantage. Value for money.

Horrible Book

This book actually good for nothing. 60% explanations are not clear.There are lots of mistakes also. I advice you all, not to buy this book. This is disappointing book from Arihant publication. This is totally wastage of money.

Not a good book for practice/learning

This is not a good book or an accurate one. It has a lot of mistakes and it's hard for someone who is using this for practice to bear through it. It might be only a good book for someone who knows perfectly everything literally but not for those who are using another book to learn and this one to practice.

I'd go for some other well-edited books as this is not a story book where you can overlook the mistakes.

Horrible book. Very disppointed in Arihant.

This is a really horrible book and has so many mistakes - both logical and typing errors - that it is hard to even understand why Arihant would publish it. The mistakes are present everywhere - in the questions,answer keys and in the explanations. In fact I think over 75% of the questions have errors in some form or another. Even those rare questions where the answer key is actually correct, the explanation is almost invariably rubbish and pretty much impossible to make any sense of. Some of ...

good book well explained

got delivery in less than a day, flipkart is good with delivery, regarding the book it has solved papers from 2000-2012 gate papers, chapter wise separated and answers given at end of each chapter so you are not tempted to look at answer while you solve, also it has space to solve beside each question
