I Gathered Rocks At The River

Jordan Nicole Simmons turns twelve the day her life starts to spin out of control. First, her unlooked-for monthly cycle introduces itself; then while she is collecting rocks down at the rivers end she is introduced for the first time to her God-given gift: She sees visions. As if that isnt enough for a pre-teen to have to deal with. Unfortunately for Jordan Nicole, it isnt. Her best friend Merc has just told her that her stepfather, Steven, who is the towns sheriff, has been having his way with her. She convinces Merc to tell her mother about her stepfather, or so she thinks. Instead Merc tells a lie on an innocent man that stirs up a whirlwind of events that lend Jordan Nicole privy to a grownup world that she is in no way prepared for.
