I am one of the authors! Review by Sarah Elizabeth MalinakI guess that, rather than review my own book, I want to share some more information about it so you can make an informed choice.
In as much as "Getting Back to Love" is all about mama's boys and daddy's girls, our definitions of these two types is broader than the stereotypes. Particularly for mama's boys, it is important to understand that men who are mama's boys, through no fault of their own, missed out on the opportunity to bond with their fathers or other important male role models when they were boys.
As such, when they became old enough to begin testing their masculine power out in the world, the only adults truly available for that were mothers, aunts, and grandmothers. But women cannot give the men in their lives, whether sons or husbands, their masculine essence. That is something that is passed down from generation to generation in the male line.
However, the situation is far from hopeless! "Getting Back to Love" gives men and women the tools to claim their birthright. A man whose dad was either physically or emotionally absent can still connect with his male ancestors, connecting to his masculine essence. For women, it's a little more complicated, so for them, whether mom or dad was physically or emotionally absent, they can still connect with their female ancestors, connecting to their feminine essence.
The information in "Getting Back to Love" gives men and women, whether married or single, what they need to create balance within themselves and their relationships so that joy and love can reign in their relationships once again!
