Burning Blaze
Being an avid lover of Neveldine/Taylor style of movie-making I went to see this movie in the theaters. Kind of creepy, the movie still appealed to me as a mindless actioner. The directors were successful in creating the madness they infuse in their movies, although their budget was tight.
Ghost Rider:SOV comes home in a single disc edition kept in a plastic case with a slip cover. The cover art looks super cool and gives a sense of three dimensionality. A qualitative analysis of the disc follows.
VIDEO: Ghost Rider:SOV is presented in 2.40:1 aspect ratio although a 1.85:1 ratio (like the Crank movie DVDs) could have much more enhanced the viewing. Nevertheless, the images appear crisp and the colours are vivid. The madness comes alive in this awesome presentation.
AUDIO: Mixed in a rock solid 5.1 Dolby Digital soundtrack Ghost Rider:SOV sounds incredible. This is what home theaters are made for. Voices are loud and clear and the sound is evenly distributed among the channels. With a hefty amount of action sequences, it makes for a reference quality disc.
SPECIAL FEATURES: 1. Deleted scenes.
Though not as good as the Crank movies, Ghost Rider:SOV is thoroughly enjoyable and this awesome disc more than enriches the home viewing experience. Definitely worth the money.
