Gigabyte GA-78LMT-S2P Motherboard

got this motherboard 2 days back.. packing was great as always. motherboard was sealed pack and secured neatly in bubblewrap airbags and bigger cardboard box..

installed it with AMD athlon II X3 425 processor
corsair value select 4GB DDR3 1333MHz RAM
Sparkle GT240 1GB DDR3 Graphics card

the motherboard i received is Rev. 3.1 board [that supports 125W processors like phenom II X4 955 and above, and high end bulldozer processors]
newer rev.4.0 and 5.0 supports only 95W processors.

i have unlocked my AMD Athlon II X3 425 to Phenom II X4 B25 using core unlocker and overclocked to 3.2GHz from stock 2.7GHz easily..

the only problem with this board is it lacks IDE support. so my current DVD writer is useless now.

overall, its best value for money board.build quality is pretty good for its price and it has descent features as well.
Its lot better than asus counterparts. [i dont recommend asus since their distributor is worst in RMA service]

recently bought this product from here only along with amd fx4100 processor 4gb premier adata pc ram,western digital cadvier blue 500gb and lg optical dvd writer. Ordered this mobo with processor on friday and got both of them on monday the service was awesome and products were just f9. Talking about the motherboard its just too good install windows 7 and it will automatically load the drivers you just need to install lan driver from cd the board i got was beautiful in colours and all things wer so simple to identify that i assemed it myself . If you know much about bios and overclocking this is a dream mobo outclasses even expensive ones . And one thing need not worry about 3gb/ps sata support buy wd cadvier blue it also limits speed upto 3gb/ps and if u change mobo afterword it will work as 6gb/ps no changes from bios is required

You can get a IDE to SATA converter cord , would hardly cost you 20bucks. All you need to do is go to a computer shop & get the cross cable cord, its a small extension kind of a thing, connect & wallah, your DVD writer is all good & ready to go. Even i am planning to buy this motherboard for my friend. Wish you all the best..

I got this mobo in 4 days.
About this product...........I thnk this is the best motherboard at this range. I have a phenom xII 955 black edition procesor & and I overclock it to 3.2GHz to 4.0GHz easily. I feel no problem.
But you have to use a good quality processor fan. The stock fan and heatsink is not good enough.

I bought this with Sempron 145 and unlocked it to AMD Athlon X2 4450e

Though second core was faulty but that's not motherboard's fault :-)

Running Corsair vengeance 4GB at 1600MHz without an issue (need manual setting from BIOS).

Pros:

Value, performance and stability.

Cons:
Not future proof (No USB3 or SATA3 but u know it b4 buying, don't u? )
Don't use ON/OFF charge utility, it causes blue screen.
