Amazinggggg Graphics!!!!!!!!!!

Just got my card today and i was amazed to the the change it brought to my pc!!!

I am able to play all my games like nfs run, battlefield 3,Max Payne 3 & mafia 2 on max settings. But this cand will not give gud fps if u do things like 8x msaa in some games, but that's the problem on all gtx660 cards due to 192bit bus.

Now this card is an oc edition. It has base clock of 1033mhz not 980 so flipkart should change that.

Now coming to power requirements. This card runs like a monster but does not require much power.I am using it with my corsair CX430V2 power supply and it is running like a dream, although i dont have a high TDP CPU.

Cooling:This card runs very cool...after playing battlefield3 for a hour and half its temp was just 62c!!! & this is without any side fan!!!

this is the best card u can buy for this price and a few bucks more!!!!
My rig:
intel i5 3550
corsair vengence 1600mhz 8gb
philips c line 1080p monitor
gigabyte gtx 660
wd 500gb

Unbelievably good

Gigabyte clearly comes out as the champion in the present Nvidia 600 series and AMD 7000 series. Not just the gtx 660,but every single current series model rolled out by Gigabyte is a masterpiece.Just be patient and go through as many reviews online as possible and you will believe me.Custom cooling, free overclock, ultra durable component quality and killer prices for all models ranging from HD 6670 to Gtx 680.

Now coming to this particular card, its a technical marvel. Its actually better than the reviews in some aspects.Idle power consumption is 10W.Idle temperature is 40 degrees.Even after playing Modern Warfare 3 for an hour the temperature was just 48 degrees.Just 48!!! Thats incredible.I dont think there is any card out there which can perform this good and remain so damn cool. And let me point out that I dont have any branded cabinet. Its a local one with just 2 fans and is quite cramped.I had to struggle a bit to put the card in the cabinet. There is so much wiring from the PSU but still this card remains so damn cool. All thanks to the 2X Windforce Anti turbulence cooling courtesy of Gigabyte.Whereas the temperatures in other branded cards like Zotac (same model.i.e gtx 660) reach 70 degrees!

And please dont forget that this is an overclocked version. All other brands charge more for overclocked versions. But not Gigabyte. Not for any model. The fans are very quiet as well. They are equal to my 8600Gt 512mb card in terms of noise.(approximately,I didnt measure)

The only drawback is that this is a slightly bigger card(physically) compared to other branded models of gtx 660.However it will be a problem only if your cabinet is extremely small.

In terms of performance it is very good.I am getting 60 frames per second in all the games (although I havent played very demanding games like crysis 3 yet as its 1500 bucks). However as per reviews it is way ahead of 7850 and trails the 7870 by just a few frames. So in terms of value for money, this is the absolute winner.Oh and I recommend a Corsair VS 550W with this card. Or even Corsair VS 450W (in case you like taking risks).

Hope I have helped you make a good decision by sharing my experience.Happy gaming!!!

Best graphic card considering price per performance.

The gtx 660 is a kick ass gfx card.
It outperforms the 7850 as well as 7870 in most games and some games with the latter.
The graphic card comes with a driver and utility disc, provided by Gigabyte.
It also comes with a molex to PCI-E connector (google it), if your power supply doesn't have one, or if you already have one nvidia gpu connected and you bought another nvidia gpu for SLI and your PSU doesn't have two PCI-E connectors that piece of cable will come in handy.
The OC Guru II utility comes with the card, with that piece of software you can overpower your gpu to perform even well in graphics hungry games like crysis 1,2 and 3.
Bear in mind if you overclock it, you will need a good power supply and also that it can shorten your graphic card's life expectancy.
Even if you don't OC it, this factory overclocked card performs great in those games.
This card supports PCI-E 3.0 and is backward compatible with 2.0 and 1.0.
Though there ain't much difference in performance between 3.0 and 2.0.
It also has CUDA cores which will come in handy while video editing and stuff like that.
You also get better Physx support in game with Nvidia then AMD.
Now, i am not a fanboy of either company, i am just judging them based on their performances.
My friend has a sapphire 7850 OC 2GB which is of the same price bracket as 660 (i believe), but my 660 owns in terms of gaming + multimedia performance and to show that my review is not biased let me tell you that i have an AMD phenom II X6 1100T processor and is pretty good in everything.
If you have extra money to burn, you can go ahead and buy the Ti version, but it will only give you a 15%-25% boost in gaming considering the 50% increase in it's price (bummer :-( ).
If you wish to see the true potential of this card, i'll recommend getting a corsair gs600 2013 edition power supply.
And also don't buy this card if you have an i3 or equivalent AMD processor, because you can bottleneck the performance of this card, consider buying 650 or 650 ti.

An absolute beast

I used to have a gt 240 and that was pretty decent for a mid range card, paired with my mid range i5-2310 cpu and 4 measly gigs of ram. i got fairly decent performance out of it. i could run skyrim on high with an fps of around 30-45 so i was pretty satisfied.

however that changed when i got far cry 3 and could only get around 25 fps at fairly low settings. the writing on the wall was clear, it was time to get a new card.

i settled on a gtx 660 because i thought it was the most my cpu could handle and any higher, would lead to my cpu being the bottleneck and me not getting enough value for my money.

seeing as my monitor's resolution is a measly 1440x900 i didn't think i needed a 680 to max it out.

however this card is a beast at my resolution. i am playing dmc: devil may cry at everything turned up to max, using the latest nvidia drivers and i am getting an insane 150-160 fps, sometimes it goes even higher!! far cry 3 i only played a little while, but even that i was maintaining a solid 60 fps(vsync on) at every setting at maximum.

i had never quite imagined the kind of visual fidelity that was possible to achieve or the difference that is between medium high and ultra settings.

this card is quiet, and i have never heard it make any sound, though i don't play for very long so that might be a factor. runs pretty cool though.

also an important note: my monitor has only a vga. and there is no vga point in this card. so i kicked myself when i bought this and found that i couldn't connect it to my monitor. oh and before that i kicked myself when i found that my crappy local cabinet was too small to actually fit in this card, there was an aluminium sheet rail inside the cabinet for some reason, that was as wide as the hard drive and made it impossible to fit the card inside it. this card is huge in size. i have gone from a 7300 to a 240 to a 660 and the difference in size is in direct proportion to how high you could turn the graphics on.

thankfully another old cabinet that i had lying around came to my rescue. and i found a dvi to vga adapter.

so take note of these two things when buying: no vga out and lots of room needed in your cabinet. also get a nice 1080p hd monitor to really feel good, i am currently shortlisting a nice one to buy.

you also need a good psu, 450 watts is the minimum required but local psus tend to crash.

just my two bits.

AMAZINGLY POWERFUL..........DELIGHT TO PLAY GAMES WITH IT.

Using this graphics card for the last 4 months. The card is delight for me. NVIDIA and Gigabyte are paired to provide ultimate satisfaction for the gamer. This mid range card is really powerful to play any game currently in the market without glitches.

Pros : 1) Can be installed in mid range PC without high end processors. Its true that it performs better with high end processors but I have tested it in my old i3 processor 4 gb ram configuration and the card is running superbly.( But PSU should be good one atleast 500W from reputed company.)
2) Played most of the game in highest resolution for hours without any overheating or any other issues.

Cons : 1) The package is devoid of any VGA adapter.

So overall this card is superb. Connect this card with the HDMI port to any latest monitor or TV to utilise its functionality fully.
