The Glasgothian Quests

Five clans, five quests on a collision course with a single destiny. Not a destiny of their choosing, but one planned by the Goddess Gaia, intent on using humans to change the fates of her beloved but dying races. Dragons, centaurs, griffons, the Pict and a score of smaller, seeming mythological and nearly extinct creatures have been brought together in the sanctuary of Glasgothia, not only for their protection but to await the timing of Gaia's intervention in their own destiny. Three unlikely cohorts, Lord Charles Gayeland, cousin to the King of Britannia, Uther Pendragon, and on a quest to bring back the head of a golden dragon for his King; Thamas Kerringtoune, chieftain to the Kerr, his clan, vassals to the Britannians, offers his services to Gayeland, hoping to achieve landed status for himself and his clan; Brigid, Queen of Ire, driven by a need to see her half sister, Death's Whore, truly dead and unable to claim the crown of Ire. Two unlikely lovers, tied to a past they can't forget, both locked into a present that neither would have chosen. Maeve, the female warrior who rose to the rank of general to the armies of Ire. Thought to be dead at her father's hand, she has been driven from Ire as an outcast. Running for her survival, she is brought by the Goddess's oracle to Glasgothia. Wolfgar, chieftain by default and revenge to the Norse. Warned by another oracle of the Goddess that the world as he knows it is changing, he accepts the quest she offers and sets out to take his destiny and that of his people, into his own hands. Five oracles, charged by the Goddess to serve their separate clans and peoples, but given a task by Gaia, that taxes their humanity to its limits. The timeof the matriarchy has all but passed. The patriarchal order is beginning to stretch it muscles. Just how does Gaia plan to resolve the strange mix of creatures and humans she has brought together on the cusp of changing times?
