Go Kiss The World: Life Lessons For the Young Professional, aimed at young Indian professionals, is an inspiring message from a highly successful Indian entrepreneur, Subroto Bagchi.
Summary Of The Book
Go Kiss The World: Life Lessons For the Young Professional is a memoir of sorts written by Subroto Bagchi, a noted Indian entrepreneur.
The title of the book refers to the last words uttered by Bagchi’s mother just before her death.
Bagchi took his mother’s words to heart and modeled his life accordingly.
Bagchi narrates his story, right from his birth and upbringing in a small town in rural Orissa. His family values bred in him a sense of simplicity, awe, and contentment. He became used to learning from quite unusual sources. His strong principles and moral values took him from the humblest of beginnings to the highest of achievements.
In the book, he intersperses personal anecdotes with simple nuggets of wisdom that have played very important roles in his own life. He seeks to inspire, motivate, and energize young professionals to live extraordinary lives instead of mere, mundane existences. Bagchi urges them to see the potential within themselves and work on their dormant strengths to seek all the wonderful things they are destined to achieve.
Go Kiss The World: Life Lessons For the Young Professional was published in 2008 by Penguin Books. It received positive reviews.

I picked up this book with low expectations and it's counsel I would like to pass on to other readers. With that approach, you could turn the last page and be content. It's not a wow book but it's a good read filled with nuggets of wisdom.
It's the kind of book that every successful businessman who has introspected on his life will write but Bagchi does have a nice touch indeed.
Keep a marker handy for those snippets and reflect how you could apply those wise words to your life. In between, you'll have to pass through his autobiography which isn't the most exciting so be prepared.
All in all, I'm sure there are better inspirational/autobiographical books out there but there are no regrets at all in picking up "Go Kiss the World".
Subroto has one important message for the current generation about to start their careers - do not overplan. As Rabbi Sherre Hirsch says "We Plan, God laughs". God does laugh even at Subroto every now and then, and to overcome this he shows how a heads down approach has worked very well for him, and should work for most of us too.
One flaw in the book from my perspective is that even Subroto falls prey to presenting his DCM experience with a senior manager as a "I'm right, and he was wrong" view. Similarly with his last conversation in WIPRO with Azim Premji. Humility? Errrrr...
This is a very good inspirational and motivational life story. This story belongs to a middle class Indian boy and his life. Normally in India a real middle class boy fears to take risk, and leaves a normal life with a secure job. But Mr. Bagchi came from such a family and became a successful entrepreneur; you can get a lot of lessons from his story.
The initial part of this book may feel bore as it contains some odd village names and most about relocation (But it stands good for me as it reflect my story). But go ahead … He has elaborated all his experience in such a beautiful manner that you can’t leave the book in the mid.
it is simply superb.depicts the miles travelled by subroto since 1976 so less travelled by others of his ilk! he is different from the beginning be in the classroom at vani vihar or at chanceller cup bebate ,ncc mountaineering receiving award from pm indira gandhi and he has remained so now looking at life from different angles. the lucidity of language the flow of narrative the honest expression explain the experience and exposure he has gained in his varied works and life situation all over the world.wish more from subroto.
