Book: Go Kiss The World: Life Lessons For The Young Professional
‘Go, kiss the world’ were Subroto Bagchi’s blind mother’s last words to him. These words became the guiding principle of his life.

Subroto Bagchi grew up amidst what he calls the ‘material simplicity’ of rural and small-town Orissa, imbibing from his family a sense of contentment, constant wonder, connectedness to a larger whole and learning from unusual sources. From humble beginnings, he went on to achieve extraordinary professional success, eventually co-founding MindTree, one of India’s most admired software services companies.

Through personal anecdotes and simple words of wisdom, Subroto Bagchi brings to the young professional lessons in working and living, energizing ordinary people to lead extraordinary lives. Go Kiss the World will be an inspiration to ‘young India’, and to those who come from small-town India, urging them to recognize and develop their inner strengths, thereby helping them realize their own, unique potential.

I just loved the way the author has tried to inspire the youngsters to achieve so much from the experiences from the troubles & from the simplicity one has .....the book clearly says that we do not get pleasure from materialistic things its from the way we rise with every fall..its just superb!!!
*Down to earth practical guide
Review by Harsh Rai Puri
Subroto Bagchi shares his life and learning - at various stages - in a candid and forthright manner. The practical insights are deep and enable the reader to relate them to his/her situational context. A must read for all ages - not just the young professional, as today's organisational setting is in a huge state of flux.
*book with a difference

*go kiss the world
Review by ashok patnaik, classmate of subroto
it is simply superb.depicts the miles travelled by subroto since 1976 so less travelled by others of his ilk! he is different from the beginning be in the classroom at vani vihar or at chanceller cup bebate ,ncc mountaineering receiving award from pm indira gandhi and he has remained so now looking at life from different angles. the lucidity of language the flow of narrative the honest expression explain the experience and exposure he has gained in his varied works and life situation all over the world.wish more from subroto.
*Go with the flow
Review by M A Ravinder
Subroto has one important message for the current generation about to start their careers - do not overplan. As Rabbi Sherre Hirsch says "We Plan, God laughs". God does laugh even at Subroto every now and then, and to overcome this he shows how a heads down approach has worked very well for him, and should work for most of us too.

One flaw in the book from my perspective is that even Subroto falls prey to presenting his DCM experience with a senior manager as a "I'm right, and he was wrong" view. Similarly with his last conversation in WIPRO with Azim Premji. Humility? Errrrr...
*Inspirational
Review by Leonard Mugonda
