old wine in new bottle95% of the material is lifted from laxmikanth's popular book "public administration".not suitable for general studies, technical book.suitable for students who have opted public administration in the mains.no need to buy, simply go for any popular polity book.even after that if you feel to study governance then buy indian public administration by padma ramchandran (NBT),very informative & crispy handbook.

Definite buy...Laxmikanth as always stands to his never compromising quality and conceptual clarity in the simplest possible way,and the present book is no exception.Fulfills the needs of newly added topics of public Policy,Rights Issues and governance(helpful in decision making part as well)as per UPSC Standards. And yes,no other complete manual in the market presently match its standards. Will also be catering to the needs of students with Pub Admin as their option.Ultimate advise..."Go for it...you will be on advantageous side"

DON'T BUY.....now this book is somewhat of "book for dummies " type.... if you have Laxmikant-polity and pub adm or even any one of this...this book book is a complete waste of money... this a cut-copy-paste of the older books. if ur new to upsc and lazy enough to read polity which is completely suicidal in upsc..u can opt for this book...
