About Author :
Dr. K.B. Srivastava is well-known expert in the field of archives administration. He obtained M.A. degree from the University of Allahabad, and Ph.D. in History from the University of Jabalpur. He was selected by the Government of India for highest training in the field of archives management and he obtained a Diploma in Archives Keeping. He was connected with the publication of Government of India's series on India's struggle for freedom: "Towards Freedom", directed by Indian Council of Historical Research and National Archives of India, New Delhi. He served at many places including New Delhi, Chandigarh and Jaipur and has acquired a deep first hand knowledge of the original histoircal sources or treasures in different parts of the country. He has remained closely connected with the Indian Records Commission. He has also remained involved in the UNESCO projects on archives and history.
