I think he is just God in Short Stories. The way he thinks about a situation, the way he sequences it to have the reader craving for more at the end of each story, the way he ends his stories, the impact of the last line is so powerful that you need to pause and reflect on it, each time, every time you read it.

Be it his choice of title, theme of the short writes, fiction or real, Gulzaar saab never fails to evoke the dormant sentiments in you and play hell with it.

This is a very good compilation of short stories by Gulzar saheb!

Some of these stories force you to sit back and think...... beyond the mundane.
These are stories about human relations, and the way Gulzar saheb puts them together is really beautiful.....

At the end of the day, its a translation. You just donot get the feel of what the author wants to say. The poetic sense of words are lost in translation.
I would have certainly preferred to buy the hindi version.
As per the stories they are nice short pieces which are not linked. so they can be read when ever you get time for even five minutes.

This can't be Gulzaar we know. Totally outdated stories, written pathetically and can't think could interest any one. Not worth even "half a rupee"
