About Author :
Dr. Manju Chhugani is a senior faculty in Nursing department of Jamia Hamdard. She is an Academician, Researcher and a versatile leader in her field. She did her B Sc (H) Nursing and Master of Nursing with distinction in all subjects from Rajkumari Amrit Kaur College of Nursing, Delhi University. After master of Nursing she did her PhD from Management Studies, Jamia Hamdard.
She is a Secretary, Society of Midwives (India), Delhi chapter. She works tirelessly to achieve safe Motherhood in India and for this she is associated with various International NGOs like UNICEF, UNFPA, Centre for Development and Population Activities (Cedpa), Academy for Nursing Studies (ANS) and IPAS. Due to her hard work done in the field of Maternal and child Health she has been given the honour of becoming a Country contact for Midwifery Today. She is also a member of Global Alliance for Nurses and Midwives and a member of Midwifery Research Advisory Network.
She has keen interest in taking up action research in the area of management and maternal and child health. She has worked SBA pilot project of Government of India with Cedpa. She has been a guide for many budding researchers and has validated numerous research tools with her expert comments and suggestions. She is a member of the Population Council's advisory committee on Research.
She has a vast experience in organizing workshops and conferences. She has attended and presented papers in many National and International Conferences. She has visited Hong Kong, Australia, London, Sweden and Scotland for educational purpose. She has number of National and International publications to her credit.
