The novel starts when a Muggle overhears Lord Voldemort and his henchman, Wormtail plotting murders and taking Harry Potter’s name while doing so.

The representatives are to be chosen by the Goblet of Fire and Dumbeldore casts a spell that allows students who are at least 17 years of age to drop their names into the Goblet. Thus it comes as a big surprise when the Goblet reveals a fourth candidate- Harry Potter. What happen’s to Harry Potter’s participation and how this links to Lord Voldemort’s evil plotting is what the novel is all about.

Rowling takes us on a magical journey with surprise deviations and red herrings that catch you off guard and leads on to a finale that is grander than ever before. Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire is enchanting, delightful and simply a must read.
