This HCL Tablet has a 7-inch Capacitive Multi-Touch display with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. With the Capacitive Multi-Touch technology the Tablet responds instantly and naturally to your touch. This enables various functions like pinching pictures to zoom in, tapping, dragging or swiping across the screen. This, in turn, gives you the freedom to spend more time reading, gaming and visiting your favourite sites without a hassle. The screen has a 16 x 9 widescreen aspect ratio.

This variant of the HCL ME uses a 3500 mAh Lithium-Polymer rechargeable battery that will last you a good 8 hours of battery life per charge. This can be charged through an AC Adapter that comes with the Tablet.The Tablet comes with an in-built 4 GB Flash memory expandable up to 32 GB via a microSD or microSDHC card as the device has a microSD slot engrafted in it. This gives you the liberty to store a large amount of data on your Tablet.
Connectivity and Features
For a speedy Internet connectivity, this Tablet supports Wireless 802.11 b/g Protocol for Wi-Fi access. Hi Guys,
I have purchased this tablet 2 days before in a local mobile shop in Chennai, not through flipkart. I thought my review can help those who wants to buy this one. Its a cheap one but doesn't support any thing. These are disadvantages: 1.Battery back up is very low 2. Doesn't support android apps 3. every time when you reboot you will need to remove the memory card 4. Very lower screen resolution 5. very bad camera.

cheap n best
1GHz Processor, ARM Cortex-A8, High Performance low power CPU and android lovely combination I've purchased HCL ME X1 recently. Here are my few observations on the product's features & performance. 1. Battery life is very less, apprx 2.5 - 3 hrs (working on wifi applications) 2. Display is not that impressive, specially for gaming and internet viewing 3. Front camera, still images are ok but when it comes to video chatting, its pixelising all the time during the chat even with the high speed internet connection 4. Application store on HCL website to be launched. so these are some of the things i noticed with my HCL tab. and my sincere suggestion is, if you want to have any tab for entertainment purposes especially for heavy gaming, then guys, this is not definitely the one.... wastage of money and mind
the worst which can happen to u is that u get to buy HCL ME,its cheap in price and so in standard. i bought it from lucknow and it could not survive to my anger as it extremely irritated me and i broke it by throwing forcefully on the ground. i suggest each one of u not to go for it. its the worst tablet to buy.

You get what you pay for
This is a cheap tablet and the attribute gets to all other aspects of the tablet too - cheap.
The fundamental gripe I have is that it does not have access to Marketplace. It has a customized HCL market place where you have access to 10K applications - the bulk of which is useless. So, what this means is that you actually do not have access to all the applications on Android Market place.
My second gripe is about the battery. This drains in a few hours of usage. I will have to charge at least once a day and if I am a heavy user I will have to charge it twice.
I had bought it from a shop in Hyderabad and not through Flipkart. I used it for a week and sold it back to the vendor at a 25% loss.
All I can say is that it is cheap for a reason, and the only reason that attracted me to this was the HCL brand.

Rs 10,000 is not cheap. This device is worst
many comments here mentioning that this is cheap and shi**y device, but 10000 Rupees is not cheap. got it, correct your brains price tags. we get good dual-core computers for 11000 Rs, HCL is shitty company, why it is wasting time and national energy in creating such a junk useless, pieces of plastics, better if it manufactures toilet buckets and mugs. It is cheating innocent people by selling its products.
Or HCL go back to your Bio-Chemical-Technological Projects and work on cow dung as you show in your TV commercial. hope you do well their. and please stop your 3rd class low grade and dangerous plastic junks,. and kick out your donkeys who are designing and architect these shi*ts in your production and design center.
