The Me Z-15 is a gaming console from HCL that is capable of doing a lot more than just play games. Design and Power

The small and sleek console has a clamshell design with a refined glossy finish. Flip open the Z15 to see the bright 2.8 inch TFT display with a resolution of 320 x 240 pixels that displays clear graphics and visuals.

The console has 2 mini USB ports on the back that can be used for transfer of data. The other ports in the device include a TV in and TV out port, a headphone jack and a mini SD slot. The console is portable and can be easily carried around in your pocket or backpack.

The controls in the console include a D-pad that is arranged as 4 different buttons to the left side. The action buttons lie to the right side, while the Power and Play and Pause buttons lie in the middle of the console. The Z15 gaming console is powered through a Lithium-Ion battery that can be charged with a compatible charger. The console has a LED indicator for power and battery life. The indicator turns blue when the power is full and will turn red when it is low on power.

Performance and Connectivity

The gaming console comes with an 5 MP camera that clicks images at a maximum resolution of 1600 x 1200. You can even capture 4 multiple shots with a single click, while also playing around with different features such as resolution, night mode, quality and power frequency. The console has intelligent features like the picture browsing function that lets you zoom in on the images and even check out the picture information. The camera can also record videos in MPEG4 format at a maximum resolution of 640 x 480.

You can watch a variety of videos with the HCL Z15 as it supports RM/RMVB, AVI, ASF, FLV, 3GP formats. The console has an inbuilt 2 GB memory with an expandable slot that supports miniSD card for additional storage.

The Z15 can be connected to the big screen as it has a Plug and Play TV feature. One of the rare but useful additions in the console includes a TV record function through which you can record TV programmes and watch it again, anytime you want. You can listen to music and watch videos too.

You can listen to audio clearly as it has an in-built loudspeaker. Log into your favourite FM stations as the device has a FM radio. You can use the console for recording audio clips with the in-built microphone. If you love reading eBooks you can do it with this console as it comes with an E-book reader that supports eBooks in text format. The other features include a calendar, clock and an alarm.
