Very Descriptive book but bad print quality

I had ordered this book since I liked this book after reading the same from my company Library. Unfortunately its print quality is bad when compared to the edition I have here in my company library (July 2007 for sale in Indian Subcontinent etc).
The edition that I have is the same version(October 2011 Edition Reprint for sale in Indian Subcontinent) but the latest reprint.
Unfortunately this reprint is pretty bad compared to the 2007.
Both are grayscale printing but somehow the one I got is ...

Good book for OO experienced people

If this book needs to be cashed in fully, one should:
(i)Have the skill to represent OO models using UML
(ii)Have good working knowledge of an OO language (Java, C etc)
(iii)Have insights to inheritance, aggregation, composition and general polymorphic behaviour
(iv)Have prior experience in confronting applications that need deep/incisive code changes for small changes in fuctionality.

In spite of the casual approach to presenting the essence of the patterns, this book is not for be...

Best book for design patterns

Head first series adopts cutting edge research on learning theory into their books. This makes the subject really interesting and it's unique approach helps digest difficult concepts one at a time. Design patterns is a difficult subject to grasp especially for someone new to OOPS. This book has tried its best to explain the concepts in a simplified manner without sacrificing quality. This is THE BOOK for the design patterns. Buy it, Read it and Enjoy it

Good book

The approach used by the book to describe design patterns is very good easy to understand.
I had the Gang Of Four book, but i had to read it twice or thrice to get a concept.
For beginners, i would recommend Head first. Once you have the head first concepts down, then GoF.

Awesome narration

I am always on a lookout for something very lucid. When it came to learning design patterns, I think I did the best thing by ordering a copy of this book. I have loved this book because when I read it, I feel I am reading a comics. I can relate the content in the book with my daily work. I must say that I have improved as a coder/developer after reading this book.

Awesome book

Knowledge is good when you can use it. Learning all the technicalities and terms and ending up using known is of no use.

This book is an excellent example of how best concepts and knowledge can be shared. This is the first time I read a book with such different and brilliant style.

Key to designing is visualizing things in real life. And this is what this book best achieves.

100% recommendation for all people who want to explore the world of Design Patterns and actually use them in their ...

Good book

Good book. It's ultimate aim is to make sure the readers get the idea. The examples selected by the authors are really intuitive and interesting. But like any other craft, it takes efforts from the reader in the form of practice by programming whatever was learnt to get the maximum out of it.
