The Healer's Cross

Father Dennis Marleski's reputation as a hero and advocate of the less fortunate has spread, and soon after his arrival in New York, somebody asks for his help: an old Jewish man with the stigmata. This fascinates Marleski who wonders if the old man can really heal people. It is a unique dilemma for the priest. Solomon (The Healer) and Marleski each have a terrible conflict to resolve. Crooked cops who want money and diamonds are chasing Solomon, while Marleski is being hassled by the same cops for aiding and abetting the Jewish man. Solomon believes he is dying because of the pain and loss of blood the stigmata warrants, and he wants to get back home to Tel Aviv to see his family. The crooked cops blocked Solomon's passport and he needs the highest-ranking member of the Kennedy Justice Department to approve a new one. His choice to survive is tied to John Kennedy himself. Marleski finds that being a priest and a philosopher can have direct conflicts. Will Marleski commit a crime to help his new friend?
