Professor Chattopadhyay completed his PhD in statistical physics and fluid mechanics from the Indian Association for the Cultivation of Sciences. His areas of research include Mathematical Biology, Bioinformatics and Epidemiology, Financial Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics and Statistical Physics.

2. This is an excellent book. Clearly written. Although some parts could have been better. Specially the on on Clausius inequality derivation.
3. If you give enough time and give careful read you are going to learn things.
4. Suggestion. One book is never enough. Read Saha and Srivastava as well.
