Awesome coverage

The book provides great coverage on algebra and is good for examinations like JEE and SAT Subject Test.

Pre-requisites: It is of no use to read grammar books when you don't know alphabets. In the same way, you need to know some basic algebra before starting up with this. For this you can buy: Elementary Algebra For Schools by the same authors.

PROS: Results are arranged in point wise manner which makes this book easy to understand. Also, lots of examples are solved to give detailed content ...

Everything you should know about basic algebra

Its a good book covering a vast breadth of topics in algebra. The exercise are based on theory provided in each chapter. A large number of questions end of chapter nearly 1750 are good and interesting.i found the book highly enjoyable and exciting to solve. Have it if you like algebra and knotty gritty

Good but not the best !

Well,any coaching class faculty will rate this book high and it is always in the list of recommended books for INMO,IIT-JEE etc.
The book covers higher algebra extensively.It has almost 35 chapters.Many topics found in this book are not needed for 10+2 level entrance exams but will benefit one's knowledge bank.
However one thing this book lacks is explanations.Most of the matter is structured in the form of articles and examples.Also many connected topics have been distributed over many chapt...

This is an excellent book on Algebra. Written in a language which is easy to understand.
This book is a must for anyone competing in IIT JEE , ISI , CMI and SAT. In school level this book is a must for students trying to get RMO , INMO and JSO.

IT contains all important areas like equations, cont fractions , Matrix , Log , Limits, inequality etc.

A good book but.............

A very good book for the beginners but many chapters are not required. Good to clear your understanding and concept. But in my opinion NCERT. text book is equally good if not better. Choice is yours'. If you are expecting to appear in JEE. main or advance then this book is not for you. If you want to increase your marks at + 2 final examination then you can try this book.
