Not for the emotionally weak Review by Ashwin SThis book will move you to tears. One cannot fathom the integrity, the patience exhibited by our Army and the author (Brigadier at the time).
I do not want to name any political parties in the pretext of writing a review. But before reading this book, I was disgusted at the party that ruled (not Governed, RULED) India since Independence. They had so much they could do. All India was theirs to develop. But they were all sycophants. This thought used to haunt me now and then.
After reading the book, I am filled with anguish. I am emotionally distressed. This may sound like a lot to be true, but I am not here to convince anyone for a prize. I really cannot imagine what else my country has silently gone through. Sadly, almost all of my generation is not even aware of this event or other such brutalities against India by Indians. I dont know if this review helped.
But I honestly recommend the book to anyone who wants to learn some history.
