A Hint Of Strawberry

When John Walker stopped for coffee at a diner in San Palto, an isolated town in the foothills of California, he was disturbed to find everyone there resembled prisoners of a concentration camp. As he was attempting to leave, he found someone had tampered with his car to insure he couldn't. His only help appeared to be from a strange recluse offering to provide an escape from "the enemy." John quickly discovered this little town was hiding deadly secrets that could affect the world. Police and hospitals in several Midwestern cities are baffled when patients begin showing up in near catatonic condition and their bodies emitting the unusual odor of stale strawberries. The Department of Homeland Security is alerted and Special Agent Big Red Akers is assigned the task of determining if these symptoms are the beginnings of a terrorist related outbreak. What he finds is far more frightening.
