This book attempts to tace the long and compelx path traversed by the human race from the era of primitive society right upto is an present day. Infact, this is an attempt to explain the history of the world from the river valley civilisations to globalisation and liberalisation. Further, it deals with classical Greece and Rome, the Messiah and the Prophet, Birth of new ideas, industrialisation, birth of the U.S.A., the mightly French Revolution, Unification of Italy and Germany, an era of armed peace and the First World War, the end of the Tsarist Government and the Emergence of the First Socialist Country the U.S.S.R. the Second World War, the Cold War, Birth of the U.N.O. and regional organizations etc.

S.P. Nanda is in the P.G. Department of History, Rajendra College (Autonomous), Bolangir. He has contributed a number of Research papers in various journals. He is also member to a number of professional institutions. He has authored Economic and Social History of Modern India, Modern Europe and the World, History of Modern India, Landmarks in Indian Landmarks in Indian History etc. He is at present preparing the History of Ancient India and Medieval Indian History.
