The Hobbit: The Enchanting Prelude to The Lord of the Rings (English) (Paperback) Price: Rs. 503

THE GREATEST FANTASY EPIC OF OUR TIME

Bilbo Baggins was a hobbit who wanted to be left alone in quiet comfort. But the wizard Gandalf came along with a band of homeless dwarves. Soon Bilbo was drawn into their quest, facing evil orcs, savage wolves, giant spiders, and worse unknown dangers. Finally, it was Bilbo–alone and unaided–who had to confront the great dragon Smaug, the terror of an entire countryside . . .

This stirring adventure fantasy begins the tale of the hobbits that was continued by J.R.R. Tolkien in his bestselling epic The Lord of the Rings.

The Hobbit

The Hobbit is an introduction to the world of Tolkien. It was written as a book for children but the legend later evolved greatly. A few characters in The Lord of the Rings are introduced here, such as Elrond, Gandalf and Sauron. Sauron is not mentioned by this name. He is present as a dark and mysterious character called the Necromancer. The Hobbit tells the story of how Bilbo got the One Ring and it also tells of the death of Smaug and the restoration of the kingdom of Erebor. The book is a delightful read and an introduction to the world of The Lord of the Rings.

Bilbo Baggins and Company(Nori, Fili, Dori, Bofur, Gloin, Dwalin, Thorin, Balin, Oin, Bombur, Bifur, Ori and Kili...phew!!) with Gandalf are a must read for ALL!!!

"To read is an adventure for it is full of twists and turns"
At last I got to read this book ... and what an adventure it is...! Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit one will absolutely adore, his journey with 13 dwarfs(Nori, Fili, Dori, Bofur, Gloin, Dwalin, Thorin, Balin, Oin, Bombur, Bifur, Ori and Kili....phew!!!) and the famous wizard Gandalf can never bore anyone...
75 years since it was published, "The Hobbit"(perfectly titled) continues to enthrall us and it is one of the Books I thoroughly enjoyed
P.S. "J.R.R Tolkien" where ever you dwell now: "Your MAGIC is BEAUTY"!!!
