Hold My Hand lets the readers experience the magic of an unlikely romance, and the sights and smells and sounds of Hong Kong, as a shy and awkward boy falls in love with a beautiful blind girl.
Summary Of The Book
Deep is a nerd, too immersed in books and academic pursuits to have much fun. Now, even his work has him associated with libraries. His company, ATS Technologies, sends him to their head office in Hong Kong to study their library software.
Deep is filled with excitement at the prospect and lands in Hong Kong with a lot of dreams. Soob, one more character, is added when he meets the stunningly beautiful Ahana. Shy and awkward by nature, Deep is strangely drawn towards Ahana, who is blind.
Hold My Hand follows the pair as they learn about each other and also explore Hong Kong. Ahana introduces him to the various smells and sounds of the city, while Deep shares with her his visual experience. Their bond grows closer with their shared experiences.
Both have their own problems to deal with. If Ahana has her blindness, Deep has some insecurities about himself. But their affection seems all set to deepen into something else, when Ahana’s ex-boyfriend reappears and the picture becomes murky.
Hold My Hand has a lot of supporting characters who also contribute towards the plot and keep it moving forward. Deep’s very caring parents, his friend Aman who is a complete contrast to him, all set the stage in the initial part of the book.
The readers are kept guessing as to how the romance between Deep and Ahana is going to end.

Must read!Straight from the city of Hong-kong (for a change its not the usual metro cities which Indian writers are fascinated by) is a unique love story of a visually impaired girl (Ahana) and this nerdy boy (Deep). From the college classrooms of Delhi to the streets of Hong-kong its a beautifully described book, that you can easily relate to all the characters from the overprotective Deep's mother to the new generation of ''cool'' dad's (ie Ahana's father).

Beautiful, beautiful bookThis could be the most beautiful Durjoy Datta novel. The male protagonist is an eighteen year old boy named Deep, who's just adorable. He's also a complete bookworm and wants to be a writer one day. When he's given a chance to go to Hong Kong for a project (internship or such; he's a first year student), he meets a girl, who apart from being pretty, mysterious and sweet, is also blind. Ahana has been blind since she was a child, and is staying at the same hotel Deep is. They become friends quickly.

Waste of money !!!Although I titled it as a waste of money but actually if any one liked "If it's not forever it's not love" also written by the same author , the person would probably love this. There is always a tendency of the author to make every impossible thing possible in his stories. That's what I hate the most. I loved his last book "Till the last breath" which was awesome and mature and that's why I bought this one. If anyone has read this book and that's their reason to buy the book, please think twice before you do so......

An emotional travelogueThe characters seemed to be out of peppy american television yet there was some real feel to it. The humour was subtle and smooth and left a long lasting impression. There were someplaces I wanted to read again for the sake of the feelings it arroused. Overall a good read.

Good but not Overwhelming...I excitedly pre-ordered this book to get a signed one and got so. I enthusiastically started reading the book and found it good. the description of the protagonist was quite comprehensive. Then it lost its charm for quite some chapters. But when the protagonist is taken to Hong Kong, the reader can actually palpate the excitement of his. The entry of the female protagonist is one of the best parts of the book and keeps the reader savoured. The stay in Hong Kong of both the protagonists is described beautifully. The places visited by them keeps the reader riveted. Over all a nice book with some … (Expand)

AwesomeAlthough there is a hint of romance but the treatment to the story is damn different. Just read it and you wont put the book down till you go down from the first page to the last. The narration picks up speed after some 50 pages but once it starts, you would never want the story to end.
