This is a collection of 51 stories, some from Sufi sources, charmingly narrated by the author, Mirza Yawar Baig. These stories are essentially parables. While they have excellent entertainment value what is more important are the messages they convey of brotherhood, understanding of one’s being and the de-emphasis of the rat-race for the greater satisfaction of mental and spiritual harmony. The illustrations by Samina R Baig, sensitively appropriate for each story, add a wisdom of their own to the stories.
