One of the better books in popular fiction genre...

I have a major bias against Indian writers thanks to the pop corn literature they dish out to so called readers. But with Sid Bahri's debut novel I stand corrected. His use of language and the way he has deftly handled the storyline was truly commendable! I was pleasantly surprised at the way the book progressed. I was glued to the book for about 3 hours until i finally finished it. This has been quite a read.

Do pick this book up because good writers needs to be encouraged! This has to be o...

No stereotype, refreshing and a quick read.

The best this about The Homing Pigeons was that the author didn't try too hard to impress. Unlike most other debut authors, there was no usage of unnecassary profanity, or hindi words or anything filmy, just to make the book sell.

Sid Bahri seems to be here to write and share his tales and that is exactly what he has done in his debut book. The book is a no-nonsense, straight forward tale .... if you love to read, u will enjoy reading this. A tight, innovative .. the Homing Pigeons was a goo...

    Remarkably exalting

This Story is about Aditya and Radhika, Written lucidly from both's POV, Both grown up in different towns, under different circumstances, now living completely different lives yet connected with a delicate but strong string of LOVE, Unbreakable by even the cruelest of times.
It was almost like the author took the challenge of firstly making readers almost dislike both protagonist then making the same readers feel empathetic towards them, then getting lost in their pains and sorrows and when t...

I had already read a lot of reviews before reading the book which had flared my interest. I had expectations, not very high though, considering the recent surge in the romance genre. Wanted to read the author's portrayal of the 2008 recession, as I myself have been a victim of the same.
If you expect a usual love story between two different people, this is not the book for you. If you expect a different love story between two usual people, this again is not the book f...

A very different, intense and interesting read!

As a first time author Sid Bahri has done a fantastic job! I really liked the writing style. The narration is crisp. Skillful swapping from one point of view to other makes the execution of the story smooth. The book is packed with many interesting & surprising elements, that makes this unique story line unpredictable.

This book, enclosed in a really nice cover, is a very different, intense and interesting read! Grab this book! It's really different.

Story of the time that affected all of us somehow or the other.

The best thing about this book is the fight for survival everyone puts up with time....coming to the edge to their conscience. The way almost all the character transforms from being a CEO to a Pimp to a CEO of their own wishes again. I generally avoid Indian authors for their lack of flawlessness in the language, for breaking away from linguistic barrier and using something between English and any Indian regional languages.I have nothing against any regional languages, but I prefer being loya...

The Pigeons indeed flying high !!!

"The Homing Pigeons",the name stands out different from other fiction novels being released across the country .One will think what genre does this book belongs too ? Well I too had the same question in my mind but being a fan of Dr. Tharoor's writing when I came to know that he has recommended it , I was not able to wait further and ordered the book.

As I have mentioned in my earlier reviews being a slow reader as always kudos to Sid that his flow of writing especially with immense simplici...

Entrapped in the quicksands of The Homing Pigeons

I term such books as quicksands because I will defy my all other needs to read them & such books comfort me..I want to read the books which appeal to all my senses & not scrotch them!
Unfortunately today many writers are selling their books thriving on publicity stunts, controversies, porn, corporate jokes & senseless humour, & jargon which fail to amuse us & hit us below the belly.
The Homing Pigeons, is a book which has re-established my faith in the ability of contemporary Indian Authors. ...

    The perfect metaphor!

The highlight of this book is its name and the way the writer has so beautifully and effortlessly linked the story to its title- The Homing Pigeons.
This book is a fresher as compared to the routine cheesy love stories with one villain ruining it all and then the lovers overcoming the odd situation and spending the rest of their lives happily ever after.
Thankfully, the amount of I Love You's and cheeky romance is pretty much in control.
It's more practical and the story plot is plausible.
