Being a disabled and divorced woman with children who presently live in another state, Sandra Mae Stern's most recent poetry focuses largely on her multiple sclerosis and her divorce. She writes about frustration with her current lot. She also expresses hopes and dreams for a cure for her disease and for a new lover who will never give up on her. Her recent work touches on other topics too, such as her pride in and love for her daughter, and her appreciation and love for her parents. Stern began hoping, dreaming, musing, stewing and writing about it long before she was disabled or even married. From the time she was a young child, Stern has been writing poems. Some of her earliest work is contained herein. Also included is a smattering of things Stern wrote through the years. This book, then, is a collection of about 38 years worth of Stern's writings.
