Hoya CP filter has a specific purpose and it meets that well. for all new SLR touting photographers this specific filter is not required unless you are taking landscape photography in bright sun lit areas.

I would definitely recommed this filter to those who have understood the need for CP filter

for the rest you can stick to a good UV filter both as lens protection and slight UV glare protection

This is a wonderful filter,it removes unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as water, glass etc.

It also enables colors to become more saturated and appear clearer with better contrast.

This effect can be used to increase the contrast and saturation in blue skies and white clouds.

Like always fast and prompt delivery by flipkart. The CPL works as described. A must have for any one intend to photograph sea, icy areas or reflective surfaces. It cuts out unnecessary light and gives you a good picture of the subject.

While this lens does take away reflections, it doesn't saturate colours in the sky as much as it shows on the cover. Not bad though. It cuts out two stops of light so increasing the aperture or shutter speed is recommended.
