Hoya HMC 52 mm Ultra Violet Filter

As usual I am NOT disappointed with the service and delivery of this filter. Ordered the product on the 5th March'13 and received it within 24 hours. Once again kudos to the exceptional service and product delivery. Thank you Flipkart.com.

For the filter. It's WYSIWYG :-) (What you see is what you get) and it is worth to blindly go for this one.

- This filter serves the purpose for what it was made.
- It protects from any excess sun rays passing through your lens aperture and hitting the sensor. Does what it says, protects from UV rays.
- With this fitted, the colors still look vibrant and has a natural tone. Hence 'No Compromise' in picture/photo quality.
- The filter also acts as a protection from accidental scratches and dust (especially evident in big metro cities across India).
- A perfect fit to the kit lens of 18-55 mm focal length that is supplied with Nikon D3100 and D5100.
- This filter would also comfortably fit any lens with a 52 mm diameter at the outer ring.
- It is a perfect fit for the super famous PRIME lens with 35 MM focal length and having a maximum aperture of 1.8 f.
- The build quality is also excellent. Also, the UV coating is of good quality.

Verdict: Go for this filter blindly. As it is a double protection. Either ways it would serve your purpose of purchasing this filter.

Overall, I am very happy with this purchase and am looking forward for more future purchases from Flipkart.com.

Though not essential due to the recessed lens glass i thought it better to have one in place. Bought these after the images captured with a no-name UV Filter that came with the lens were terrible. Being a UV(c) filter these were also thinner and lighter than the other filters.

have not played with the camera since i fitted this but the photos i have clicked do not show any degradation in quality before and after the filter are in place.

Have purchased two of the 58mm filters for the 18-55mm and 55-250mm and this for the 50mm f/1.8

The filter fits perfectly on my 18-55 VR kit lens (Nikon D5100). The lens cap fits good as well!
Havent tried shooting through this filter yet. Will post comments once i put it to use.

I mainly bought this filter for protection for my D5100. Quality of the product is best for this price. You can be sure that you won't get any quality degradation in your final image, by using this filter. I have my filter attached to the lens always. You can also use the default lens cap with this filter. But, sometimes its a bit hard to remove the filter; it may be because of over tightening. Other than that this is a good UV filter.

Bought this for my Nikon D5100 and very happy with the buy.

This acts as a safe guard for your expensive lens and allows some kind layer of Anti glare to the shots. Recommended for everyone who has taken up the interest in DSLR photography(one of the very expensive hobbies :-) )
The delivery was next day after the purchase and packaging was (needless to say) awesome !!!
