I purchased this notebook from flipkart , this notebook was on sale for around 27k, which is not too bad for a thin and light notebook, considering the specs. In my opinion, this machine offers tremendous value for money, especially in these difficult economic times.
Build and Design:
This is my second HP product, so I was initially a little apprehensive about the build quality of this notebook. I was taken aback at how solid this little notebook felt. Build quality is pretty decent. Which is tough, yet lightweight. The screen lid is awesome. This makes it really convenient to carry around the house.
Screen:
The 14 inch screen is glossy and reflective, It is very clear and bright with no dead pixels. Watching movies is generally an enjoyable experience. Backlighting appears to be even and I cannot notice any light leaks anywhere on the screen.
Processor and Performance:
Having never worked extensively with an i3 based machine before, I was quite apprehensive about the performance of the HP nootebook. For general tasks such as surfing the internet, listening to music, watching a movie or using MS Office, this notebook performs better. It is fast, and can handle multiple programs simultaneously with little to no lag.
The machines comes with 2GB of RAM, and although this is sufficient, it might be a good idea to upgrade to 4GB,unused slots is a real advantage…..
Advantage:
Finger print sensor..........works satisfactory; I struggled a lot to get its driver….

I purchased this laptop 11 days back and it was shipped to me with in 48 hours of my order.

Though it is shipped practically without any Operating system, but driver availability is easy and can be downloaded from HP's website

I installed Windows XP Professional (for business use) and did not face any difficulty. Only thing you have to keep in mind while installing XP is that service pack 3 + .net 3.5 has to be installed to use all features of this laptop.

Further in order to use AHIC feature under XP, you have to tweak hardware settings. Procedure available on HP website and on pamphlet you will find in box.

Though I used to have an HP laptop but that laptop used to heat too much. I have not faced any kind of heating problem with this laptop so far. It also have fingerprint scanner, which you may set up for login under various scenarios. Camera and speaker quality is average.

Overall a good business laptop and a real VFM!

I purchased this laptop last month from flipkart. This goes without saying that the packaging that the laptop came in was excellent. Product received in good condition.
About the product: Very neat performance. Keyboard is attractive and comfortable to use. Intel HD graphics is very useful if you consider playing games or applications requiring high end graphics,
Interestingly, This laptop works great even with Windows XP.
Cons: The touch pad is a little uncomfortable to use.
Initially I faced few glitches while installing Windows 7, but did overcome the problem soon.

This laptop, in all likelihood, is the best buy in the price range. It is jam-packed with most of the good features/specifications one would need from a general-purpose laptop.
If you are not looking for a gaming laptop (which requires higher specs), this is good value for money.

And btw, it looks really great. :)
