HP 4530s Probook (2nd Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 500GB/ DOS)

I recently purchased this laptop and i must say this High Performance elegant Laptop is best in this segment. An Obvious superior laptop over conventional HP Pavillion Series and Good Value For MoNey for sure.

PROS:
1. its brushed-metal finish {aluminium panel} looks elegant, sleek design will make u fall in love with it. and high performance components truly rocks.
(metallic design always a win over plastic panels)

2. Comfortable keyboard (numerical keypad) and wide touchpad
3. Strong security features (yes, it has got this cool FINGER PRINT SENSOR . use it when you log on to windows saves time typing passwords :p)

4. Great battery life. Lasts around 4-5 hours at Above-normal usage and medium brightness (dont be surprised :p)
this machine stays really cool as compared to other laptops

5. I would rate this being a DOS Model as its Pros.. yes why pay for genuine windows if you can install your own Windows 7 Ultimate. or Linux if u are into programming :D

6. Rarely heats up in comparison with other Hp products and temperature was below the typical mainstream notebook's temperatures. Fan is pretty quite and never annoys with noise :)

7. 7200rpm Hard Disk, HD WebCam, Finger Print Reader, durable product

CONS :
1. Small arrow keys (yes, Up and Down key is very small but its only a matter of few days until u get a habit then its usual)

2. No Graphic Card ( well, u might not count this as a drawback if you aren't a GAME FRENZY guy. i Still play Fifa 12 with best graphic mode on and World of Warcraft etc)

3. Display seems a LITTLE BIT Washed out but many people like it.

Overall, i must say this Notebook is a Good Buy if you are customized oriented personality.
this laptop is "You pay for what you NEED" as it saves cost on windows and graphic card. Works 24x7 without a drop. an Ultimate Product from HP. PROBOOK as its name suggest: *ELITE*

I bought this laptop from Flipkart, initially there was some problem with delivery status but when I contacted flipkart support team they fixed the error and laptop was delivered to me in 48 hours. Thank you flipkart support for solving my problem.

First, I will bitch about this laptop because I am disappointed after buying this laptop. The major reason behind buying this laptop was the price, its cheapest business class notebook with i5 second generation processor with matt display. I like matt displays because I work on my laptop 14 hours a day and I don’t like reflections on my screen.

This is my second HP laptop and I was very disappointed again to see HP provided no drivers in the CD which came along with this laptop. You have to download all drivers from HP web site. Also, this laptops 9.2.0.444 ahteros wireless lan driver have frequent disconnections issues, for some reason your wireless network will disconnect 3-5 times in a day and explanation mark will appears on wireless single strength bar. However, you can reconnect to wireless network and then it will work fine for few hours and then disconnect again. This problem may be solved by Install 9.2.0.310 for better performance. I just installed this old driver and will need to test this further to confirm.

I also own many DELL laptops (about 5!) and I will compare this laptop with my other dell vostro business laptops. This laptops screen quality is not great, blacks are not proper black and overall screen is kind of milky white and color production is not 100% accurate but it may not make much difference to average Joe but will definitely create problem for web designers. Keyboard lacks feedback hence it will hurt fingers during long typing. This laptop have minor problems driving external monitor. For some mysterious reasons output from this laptop is not crisp and I have to make my monitor sharp settings to 100% to get clear image which is not at all clear like my 4 years old dell laptop.

Now some good things about this laptop, this laptop is fast and very good for average business task, webmaster tasks and browsing. Speaker quality is very good, it also drives HD tv properly through HDMI port. Build quality of this laptop is good and battery lasts about 4 hours. Overall you will not be disappointed from performance of this laptop, however if you want good quality screen in your laptop with accurate color production then go for dell.

Will I recommend this laptop? No. Go only if your budget is tight or you want something cheap. This is not the perfect laptop but you can definitely live with it.

pros:
1) looks: even in its grey color the laptop looks elegant and eye catching. body finish is premium and the ergonomics make it look thinner than it actually is.(its as thick as a regular 15 inch notebook)
2) camera: hd camera was one primary reason for me selecting this piece. must say its the best one I've seen so far at this budget.
3)keyboard: again well designed. good spacing, good feedback.num pad is a plus.
4)speakers: good quality speakers(you wont require an additional set of speakers for watching movies.)

cons:
1) display: the anti glare display coupled with no dedicated graphics is a disappointment.
though the anti glare is said to be good for your eyes, it makes the images and videos look a bit dull. i tried all possible tweaks with the inbuilt graphics but still not content with the display quality.
2)weight: its a bit on the heavier size compared to other 15 inch notebooks.

Verdict: good for online surfing,video chatting,any other work that requires typing or touch-pad usage(touch-pad is also great) or an occasional movie watch.

Gamers,designers- you'd be better off with a graphics card version.
Frequent travelers- u could try the 14 inch versions.

Its been more than 6 months. works great,no issues with the battery. and anybody who sees it cant resist praising the looks.

First of all let me tell you that I've not brought this laptop from Flipkart due to price difference but I really thankful to site that for having it on this website.

This laptop is really value for money for who're looking for HP business series at reasonable price. Following features amazed me a lot:

1. Very stylish and Aluminum body so very rough and tough for daily use and travelling
2. Battery life (Lasts around 4 to 5 hours or more than that).
3. Anti-glare screen
4. Support of HP protect tools features like Finger scan and face recognition. So you need to just swipe your finger on laptop to login to any website. Tool can store your details safely for all websites you would like to have finger based authentication.
5. One USB 3.0 port
6. And of course super duper performance

Would like to tell in end that just "Go For It". It's a great deal..

I bought this mainly because of its non-glossy/ matte finish screen (easy on eyes for working extended hours). Lets get important things first: this is a damn good looking laptop; the brushed alumunium finish is so cool... Remember that this is a PROFESSIONAL LAPTOP... only a professional laptop will have a matte finish screen, a numeric keypad (this has a lot of convenience value), a fingerprint reader etc. Don't expect extreme graphics or mind blasting speaker performance (this lappy is not for gamers). Overall performance is good.. though it heats up a bit near the palm support area but thats not a deal breaker for me given other laptop do boils up too. Overall I am very happy with this product & would recomment this for working professionals.
