HP Deskjet 3050 - J610a Multifunction Inkjet Printer

Pros - Neat Wireless printer.
Scan quality is pretty decent.
Cons - Copy draft mode not available. Too much of ink utilized when copying.
I have been using this for around 3 months now. I got a squeaking sound from the roller.

I liked my non-wireless printer 3050 earlier.

When the time came to get a new printer for our home (where we've multiple laptops, smartphones and PCs) we wanted something that'd be easy to set up and connect to from all our devices.

The Deskjet 3050 connects to your wireless network very easily - setup takes just a couple of minutes. If you have a Wi-fi router with a push button (to refresh the network), you're good to go. Otherwise you can always plug it into your PC via USB.

Print quality is as expected from a printer in this price range - crisp text in B&W on plain paper, and passable colour image prints on plain paper. Scans look great too and make digitising my receipts and documents a breeze. Plus, Flipkar carries the ink cartridges compatible with this device so you don't have to worry about finding them at any store.

In case you were wondering, this printer can be shared on a network with Windows 7 and XP machines - and I recommend setting up the printer on the former while sharing with the latter. Once you've done that, you can place the printer anywhere within your Wi-fi network range and print your heart out! You can even use Google Cloud Print to print directly from your Android smartphone (yes, it works).

I recommend this printer to anyone looking for an all-in-one for their home. It's quick, easy to use, looks great and does away with wires and the need for close proximity to your PC.

First of all kudos to Flipkart for delivering the printer within 48 hours of ordering inspite of product being located 1000+ kms from my place! Impressed as always.

Secondly, after unpacking the printer I observed that the original printer packing appeared to be bit of scratched although the seal was intact.

After unpacking the printer I felt the plastic quality was bit low. The plastic panels (as in like the buttons etc.) were shaking. The build isn't sturdy and handling sometimes gives kind of 'delicate to operate' feel (may be because I am used to those table sized printers) but it looks exceptionally beautiful on the desk!

Setting up wireless and connecting the printer to my home network was breeze however the step-by-step manual to set up wireless is incorrect.

The printing is great for both color and grayscale and its quick too. Although the color management feature is absent but the printer is dead silent!

Copying on grayscale sucked lot of black ink and brought my ink level down by few notch.

Scaning is great and it scans fast on higher resolution too. Morever it also has software accompanied which can convert scans to pdf/photo formats single page/multple page which I found immensely useful.

All in all, a good product and worth of money.

I ordered this AOI as i was looking for a cheap all in one but with wireless facility in it.
1. No cheaper AOI other than this guys ,you can search anywhere.. i have done a lot of searching and read reviews for dis and other printers.

2. First of all great delivery FLIPKART as usual .. 2nd day morining aftr i ordered the device i got it.

Now for this printer..

3. Unpacked it and initialized it for first time use which requires for print cartridge alignment and dat was done easy.

4. Then installed the drivers and straight away tried the wireless method to print. Initialy there was a problem i had with connecting wirelessly but in total took 20 mins for me to fully configure it.

5. Used it to print various copies and scanned docs in every mode present and found it to be pleasant in this price range and was quite satisfied with outcomes.

6. Printer is very silent as contrary to reviews everywhere and print speeds are also decent but not great.

7. Great software's provided with it and also option for saving scanned copies in various formats .

Overall a great procurement to have and enjoy , only one concern is there that the warranty i got after checking online is 11 months..

The product had a good build quality for the price.
Comes with the cartriges and installation CD.

Scan - At 1200 DPI the pictures came out good.
It has seperate options for all, jpeg , pdf etc. with varied DPI's.

Print - Good quality prints with high ink consumption.
But I never expected it other way. For this price. Its more that what I bargained for.

Copy - Quick & Clean. The draft mode is not available.

WIFI - It needs a router to be connected to a SSID.

Over all good product for the price.

FYI - For MAC users, the CD only work if you have OSX 10.5 . If you have upgraded, which in all possibilities you would have the you need to download the software from the wed. MAC would search n download automatically.
