HP dvd1260i DVD Burner Internal Optical Drive

Guys Go for this DVD writer , it a fantastic Piece to own ,
Does your job without any issues .
Burns DVD so soon and so accurate .
Got Nero 9 full version software with the box .
And Packaging was excellent .
No second thought , just go for this .

I scouted for a replacement for my 6yr old dvd drive and i found out that the reviews of dis one were da best.
I ordered it and got it within 2 days which was quite a surprise and no one was home so da courier guy had to wait 2 hours infront of my house.. heheh ... anywayz i got da product and installed it on my system.
But i found that i dun have an extra SATA power cable an had to arrange for it which was quite a pain.
But when da dvdrw was set on work it gave me a tremendous response.
A tried to extract a game from a 3 DVD's and it was dere in no tym.
It takes only 30s to write to a cd and about 55s for a dvd.

Delivery: Very happy with the delivery and packaging. Came bubble wrapped with necessary cushioning... way better than I expected.

Product: Installation is easy and got done in 2-3 minutes, just plug in the SATA data and power cables and slide the drive into the 5.25" bay. The box came with a SATA data cable and screws (which I didn't need to use since my cabinet allows screwless installation. I am Happy with the performance of the drive thus far. Will update if anything goes wrong.

I would definitely recommend this product since it is really good and economical too.

It wrote files on my CD in something like 30 secs and it is fast when compared to LG or SONY.

If you are looking for an optical drive then go for this.

When I busted my CD Drive, I decided to go for a cost effective solution. After a lot of research, I finally zeroed on two similarly priced products: ASUS and HP. I had a good experience with HP so went for it and no regrets so far.

As usual, great packaging and delivery by Flipkart. Came with a SATA cable and Nero Essentials. Installation was a breeze, just plugged it in and I was good to go! Decided to try reading my old CDs and it read each one of them without a hitch even the ancient, scratched ones. Have not tried writing a CD but then I guess it should also be pretty smooth.

The only complaint I have about this drive is it is a little noisy. Would have preferred a silent one any day. The noise is not going to scare you but yes, it does have quite an audible hum while reading. However, it is a good, solid package so go for it if the noise does not bother you too much. Else try the ASUS and let me know :)
