HP Notebook HP 430 Laptop (2nd Gen PDC/ 2GB/ 500GB/ DOS)

got the laptop in one and half day. excellent service. the model number being a6c47pa for those who want to confirm specs on the website.the laptop is definite value for money, my only disappointment is the keyboard is not chiclet type.

1.battery standup 5 hours . i tested it with just normal reading pdf.it did stand for 4 hours on videos .

2.os : only windows 7 .
3.cost was 21650 when i bought from flipkart . very good discount .
actual cost outside 25000.
4.weight : about 2.5 kg without wire .
5 .rugged : i have taken it to various places in crowded buses and have ran with laptop in back . so it is rugged for travel .

6.performance : 2gb ram and pentium b960 processor . works well for me .

performs well with software like eclipse .
7.video clarity :great .
8.sound : audiable and clear
9.keyboard: well spaced .
10. all drivers are available in hp.com
11.i havent tried the blue tooth funtion yet .
12. wifi is amazing , i was able to connect from 2nd floor whereas my router was in 1st floor .

13. hp service is good . phone support available from 9am to 6pm except sundays .
14.service centers are many in my city .
15.display:14 inch screen is enough to do everything .
but 15 inch screens come with better processors like i3 .

16.windows experiance index : 1 .

17.ram extensable up to 8 gb . rom 500Gb .
but rom not dividable more than 3 divisions .

18. big problem : when u add a drive more than 3 . u get a warning all drives becomes dynamic if u do it . and windows wont start after . cancel dont proceed . i had this experiance .
had to used bootable disc management software to resolve the issue .

ABOUT Flipkart

1. delivery done in 3 working days . ordered on saturday eve . got on wednesday eve .i am in chennai . delivery time is sacrifisable for discount price

2. they follow a policy of pay money before open the parcel .
fortunately my delivery man opened the parcel himself after payment .

3.flipkart phone support is more faster than email support .
4. all email queries are answered but in a slow manner .

Laptop looks good with decent fit and finish but its my bad luck that it comes with defects like faulty screen and audio port.
screen always flickers and its too much irritating. Audio-port is crap as any head-phone cannot be inserted in it properly, some times I really have to work hard in order to get some sound from it.
My problem is unique and you can't generalize it with all laptops of this model but its a good test for Flipkart and HP service and customer care. Lets see what they will do to rectify this problem.

and excellent service from flipkart, first i got defective laptop DVD drive not working)but as per the 30 days replacement policy flipkart replaced my defective laptop with new one.

Sleek design, good looks still give a rugged feeling of a work horse at almost half the price. If you job or leisure activity needs top of the line model. You ought to be more than happy in getting 14" screen, Dual Core processor and 2 GB RAM. With LAN or Wifi additional three USB ports and battery lasting a great deal longer are plus points. Ideal for students and executives who are not computer professionals. Cons are the standard equipment and inbuilt webcam for chatting but does not include mouse and hearing and speaking accessories. Stil it is good value for money.
