HP Notebook dv6-6165tx Laptop 2nd Gen Ci7/4GB/750GB/2GB DDR5 Graphics/Win 7 HP with Beats audio

Hp have stopped 6121tx models. This is the new model from dv6 i haven't found it on any other sites except flipkart.Specs look similar to 6121tx except a 10% faster processor,110gb extra hard disk space,Altec Lansing speakers replacing Quad Speakers and a backlit keyboard(which a welcome inclusion).I Recommend it for a mid-class gamer as it doesn't get better than this to run all the latest games at hd resolution with high or medium settings(hp still haven't rolled out full hd screens).There isn't a competitor to this baby in this price range.

Got this product a week back. Was about to buy Dell XPS but at the last moment heard about poor performance of its graphics processor and found this one much better.

Pros:
1. Not to mention, ATI Radeon 6770m with DDR5. You can't get any better in this price. Its much better than nvidia 540m. Games run like a charm.
2. Processor (i7) and RAM. I upgraded to 8gb for 1400rs more!
3) 2 usb 3.0 ports.
4) Nice design and looks.

Cons:
1. Screen. Yes they say its HD LED display. But its just part of marketing gimmick. its actually LCD display with white LED back light. in short its just your regular laptop screen, just a brighter one. Viewing angle is limited in dark colours.
2. Speakers. Another disappointing thing. the so called "Beat audio" is nothing extraordinary. They are loud, but not as excellent as Dell xps or Acer speakers with subwoofers. you are surely going to miss the pinch if you have experienced these.
3. Arrow keys in keyboard. consider external keyboard or Microsoft game pad for gaming.

I opted for this baby coz display and speakers can be added externally, but not the graphic card ;)

If you are a gaming freak, go for this. If you want best of entertainment, go for xps.

i hv its brother 6121TX which has i7 2630QM & 650GB HDD, rest the same. if u guys wanna hv a gaming laptop, equip it with a cooling pad (i use a cooler master which costs Rs.768) and you are ready with the most affordable gaming laptop in india.
1. GAMING: While you are running heavy games, plug in power cord. Serious difference in performance is noted. Also, GPU scores around 6500 in 3D mark vantage (stock settings, no tweak) which itself speaks how fast is GPU. I also changed d bios GPU settings from dynamic to fixed, so dat u can switch to either of two GPUs (another's intel integrated one). usually switch to AMD one only for games.
2. SCREEN:Not bad, but not awesome also. Fine, i would say.
3. KEYBOARD: I just liked it. Full fledged, with no nonsense buttons.
4. COOLING: Again it is at par with XPS series. GPU remains under 50 C. It is processor and motherboard that reach upto 60 under heavy gaming session. i use cooling pad (abv temp are with cooling pad). oderwise, its around 35-40 C normally.
5. BATTERY: Varies. can go upto 4 hrs with mormal surfing or last 1.5 hrs under heavy gaming.
6. BEATS AUDIO: again not bad, not awesome. Just fine.

Got this laptop today...Amazingly fast and fully loaded.
A real beauty (literally!!) with brains.
It has everthing one can dream of. For a price range that is not too heavy on the pockets you get to get the feel of the new and amazingly fast i7 processor supported by 4 gigs of RAM(can be extended to 16), a great graphics card and a large 750GB hdd for all the storage needs.
A great buy indeed for everyone.

This laptop beats all other laptops in the price range.
The best thing about it is the specifications which are just amazing.

Pros:
->2nd Gen i7(2670) @ 2.2 GHz - (10/10)
->AMD Radeon HD 6770 (2GB dedicated) - it is among the top graphic cards.(7/10)
->750 GB HDD - enough for all you needs. (9/10)
->4GB Ram (Upgradable to 16GB) - makes it run smooth and enough to play the best games. (7/10)
->HP True Vision HD WebCam - trust me it's good. (8/10)
->Beats Audio - pretty decent. (7/10)
->Finger Print Scanner - got plenty uses.
->Keyboard - nice soft keys, see I'm enjoying typing this review.
->Ventilation system is good. Doesn't heat up much, even if you're playing the coolest games.
->Looks is worth dying for - you'll definitely show off!!!
->Price - with the above specs you can't get a better laptop till around 80,000-90,000 bucks!

Cons:
->NONE - just the directional keys could have been better, it's not bad though.

*I use it for like 8-12 hours a day and it never disappoints.
*Runs games like Conviction, GTA 4, MW3, Crysis-2, Assassins Creed: Revelations, Battlefield 3 without a problem. That means you can play all games currently out there with at least medium settings.

Overall:
I guess i made myself pretty clear, "BUY IT".
