HP Notebook G4-1201TX Laptop (2nd Gen Ci5/ 4GB/ 640GB/ Win7 HB/ 1GB Graph)

i hv used dell inspiron,toshiba sat.but after using dis brand of hp,i thought why i hv nt used it before?wat u want ,evrthng in dis...high speed processor,1 gb graphics,640 hd nd long battery life ,gd nd stylish look.....dis is the best laptop ive ever used.

Best laptop in this category............with all above average features............all games and applications are working smoothly on this laptop.......i would recommend this one who are looking for a complete package......................

I bought this laptop a couple of months and did not want to hasten myself to post my reviews just based on the first look. So, after more than 60 days of my usage, below are my experiences listed out;

Pros;
1. Good performance.
2. 4 hours battery life (when judiciously used, tweak some graphic settings).
3. Easy to carry along.
4. Great gaming experience.

Cons;
1. Keyboard direction buttons are crammed.
2. Altec-Lansing speakers are not very powerful.
3. Too many preloaded applications from HP running at the background.

Finally I want to appreciate Flipkart on replacing my product within 3 days of my complaint as I was initially delivered the wrong product. One does not spend 40k everyday, so the way Flipkart handled the situation was commendable.

i have the red color model, and the design is good, color is rich. It has HD resolution of 1366*768 pixels, fantastic clarity. Guyzzzz, u need a cooling pad for this stuff, heavily loaded, with 1 GB dedicated graphics card, can play any game available today including call of duty:Modern Warfare, this game requires huge graphics.happy gaming!!!!
movies are a treat to watch, it's better if u bring external USB laptop speakers coz don't wanna put much pressure on the tiny 0.5 W altec lansing speakers and SRS premium sounds.
The price is good, at 40,000 u get 640 GB HDD, 4 GB RAM(expandable upto 8 GB, that's a fantastic thing), i5 intel core processors, it's the best your money can buy.

This is an amazing laptop. Great CPU, quite light as compared to others in the same grade.

Added an additional 4GB stick and swapped out the HDD for a 256GB SSD. Now both Windows 7 and Fedora from a cold start boot up in less than 12 seconds.

One star deducted for the Radeon issues in Linux.

Pros:

a) Great Performance under Windows 7.
b) Good screen. Clear and crisp.
c) Both VGA and HDMI ports available.
d) Doesn't get uncomfortably hot.

Cons:

a) Power and Network ports are on the side. This becomes quite inconvenient at times.
b) The power and HDD activity LEDs are also on the side. Who thought of that?
c) Touchpad could have been a tad bit bigger.
