Huawei Ascend G300

I have been using this phone since more than 6 weeks now..
Here is my detail review of this phone...
First thing i noticed in this phone iz its great display...With 233 ppi pixel density and IPS LCD its a CHARM to the eyes.. IN short display is just great..
Build quality of the phone is impressive.. it really feels solid in the hand and i have dropped this phone twice but gorilla glass kept it safe.. So if you are a rough handler den its a gud phone for you..
I found 1Ghz processor sufficient enough for running apps and playing games like temple run, angry birds to name a few.. there was no lag or glitch whatsoever...
Surfing internet is a good experience in this phone...
all in all these are the PROS of the phone..
Now coming to the cons...
1. call quality is good though but initially the other person on the receiving end could not hear me...
there is a solution to that, press *#*#2846579#*#*... this will take you to project menu, now select background settings.. u will see dual mic settings... select the option OFF the dual mic... this solved my problem... but every time u switch off the phone.. u have to change the dual mic setting again..
2. the 5 megapixel camera is just average..
3. music segment iz again nuthing great about it..
Those of u who have any Question about whether the phone is upgradble to ICS... Well i have updated mine with Chinese ICS rom available on huawei site and its working quite smoothly..

Firstly , thank you Rohit for the mod. That was indeed helpful. To speak about the phone, it is one of the best phones in the budget category. I did research for sometime before I zeroed on this phone. I was a bit apprehensive of the phone and the quality and was more inclined towards buying a Micromax or a Karbonn. Thank god I did spend some time on the internet and here is what I found. When I saw it for the first time, I could just corealte to Google Nexus one with a bigger screen.

Pros:
Its a budget phone with everything built in it.
Screen: Wide with 4 inches, Crisp with 16M, 233 ppi pixel density and IPS LCD (samsung S2 is at 217 PPI)
Speed: Games like temple run plays smooth as ice.
Browsing: Good speed. I use 2g connection of 98Rs and I can use Viber to make calls without distortion. Thanks to EDGE at 384 kbps
Internal Storage: 2.5 Gb is good enough for most of the apps.
Call Center: Responds in the first ring and is very professional on call.
Cloud Storage (HiSpace) which comes with the OS is pretty helpful. Store all your phone settings,track your phone, If you leave the phone somewhere in office you could flash a message on screen and make it ring even if you had put it on silent mode.
More to the list of Pros...

Cons:
Battery life stays for a day.
Mobile gets heated up if you are playing games for more than an hour.

I just got this mobile. It's an amazing device.
Karbon/ Micromax cannot be compared with this one. I have been watching this product for more than a month reading reviews. Most of them said , camera is average. But to my surprise camera is very good. Nobody believed it's taken from a mobile.

Touch & display is high quality! Battery backup is very good.
Keyboard interface is techy. Very innovative.

Huawei cloud account is given for free!

Games running very smoothly.

Videos play well.

Other interfaces are really user friendly.

More than everything, the build quality. It feels solid to hold this phone. This is the that makes the phone stand out from the Karbon crowd.

Enjoy this device. I'm sure you'd not regret the buy. Price is around 10K now.

PS: Don't rate the device low just because you couldnt get it from Flipkart. That's really not fair.

i purchased this phone from a store a couple of months back because i prefered a hands-on experienced with the phone and i did paid alot more comparing with flipkart price. the review,

pros.
1. the one thing you will be amazed by this phone is the display crystal clear and very smooth.
2. i installed mx player and now viewing hd movies is a joy on this big very clear screen.
3. 1ghz processor+adreno 200 = very powerful can handle all types of graphics hunger games easily. good choice for gamers.
3. internet browsing is average, i don't used much. support flash though.
4. storage is yet another thing that gave an edge to g300. 2.5 gb available +memory card slot
5. built in battery savers very handy. when the battery level goes down below 30% it asked to enable savers mode.
6. led indicators to remind of new msgs and miscall.
7. very stylish design.
cons.
1. camera is just average. i can't adjust the brightness level i need to set the phone brightness level to the maximum to take a decent pics led flash is not very powerful
2. after almost a month i noticed some dark spot on my screen. looks like i had spilled water. but it disappear again after a week. i m trying to resolved this issue with the dealers.
3. it never hangs. but sometimes app force closes and i restart app.

verdict:
go for it. don't give a second thought amigos.
huawei customer care is very helpful. they told me ics updates will availble on huawei india website
soon. (an indian ics version) wonder what it will be like.

Hi Friends, I have bought this phone a month back. When i ordered this i was bit worried because this a new model. I already read many positive things about Huawei even though this is a Chinese company. This Huawei Ascend G300 has got very positive Review comments from CNET as well. SO i planned to take a risk and order. First we should understand this is like not a other cheap Chinese mobiles in the market. okay coming to the main point the Feed back of the mobile.

Touch screen is superb just like HTC. Performance is okay type and configuration good enough. According to my one month usage feedback, it didnt restart at least once and network coverage is good enough. Battery life is really good even we surf the net and listening songs
