Huawei E3531 offers dual-band UMTS (900/2100 MHz) and quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900 MHz). The HUAWEI E3531 is SIM card unlocked and free for any operators. So the E3531 modem could be used in most countries in Europe, but only in the U.S. and parts of Asia, the HUAWEI E3531 can’t be used. With dimensions of 84x27x10, 5 mm, and weight of only 30 grams, the E3531 stick is very compact and slim, which makes it eas to take in hand or pocket when travelling. Huawei E3531 has a connector for an external antenna, it helps user to get better signal strength in rural area where lower signal.

Awesome Datacard
I have purchased this datacard today from the market i got it @ RS 1370 in NCR now talking about this data card..!
pros:
1:reliable
2:SMS USSD CALLING function
3:Excellent speed (easily i Got 1-3mbps (Airtel NCR) downloading speed in 3G, 50-70kbps (idea NCR) in 2G.
4: no heating, no disconnection
5: this dongle is SUPPORTED by WINDOWS 8.1 as i'm using 8.1 only
cons:
1: Not a wifi dongle
OVERALL i rate it 5star because at this price its perfect deal. if u want wifi in addition then go for HUA...

_--->Micro sd card can be extended till 32 gb - not necessary if you are going to connect with pc, but it is higher than other data cards.
_--->Call and sms support is available which is not given in other data cards. We need to attend to important calls and messages if you are going to use your sim card in data cards.

E3531i-1 has a connector for an external antenna(around 600Rs extra) otherwise it's same as E3531s-1
Common queries if someone to decide between the two:
- Speed comparison with and without external antenna, if I am in city limits and outside city limits.
- What is the exact external antenna spec/type supported with this data-card ?
- Suggest to show the external antenna as an combo offer here in flip-kart itself (if such any exists)
