Huawei is the best in 3G data card business, and this is one of the best product from them available in India. The OSD is very helpful to determining the signal status, connection type, number of WiFi users connected, Battery status, total volume transferred, up time, No. of SMS arrived (Yes! you can send and receive SMS through web console).
The signal reception in this device is excellent, From turnisg on it took 20 seconds to establish a HSDPA connection (MTNL 3G).
Battery backup is 4.5 hours.
The only downside is, it gets hot after half an hour if I download heavy. So, keeping in pocket is a little bit problematic.
I was in two minds. The tossup was between this or a cheap Android phone to use as Hotspot. Read a lot of reviews and decided to order this. Good battery life and range. Worked out of box literally. No settings needed. One minor grouse is that it supports SMS but not USSD codes like *121*11#. Hopefully future firmware would fix this.
If you have a 3G data card that you usually shove into your iPad, this device can make the same data card accessible by a whole host of your wifi enabled devices (including your wife's iPad :)). The set-up is simple, all I needed to do was plug my 3G enabled Vodafone card into the slot. The connectivity range is good, a bit beyond beyond the 10 feet mentioned in the specs. The battery lasts for around 5 hours but its fast and easy to recharge via USB. All-in-all, a good buy!
This is what I was looking for to connect my macbook,iPhone to the Internet seamlessly. The user interface for custom settings is excellent.Instant turn on and turn off WIFI when not in use are the good features in it.I use BSNL 3G service with this product and both are awesome. If any one wants to connect more than one gadget to internet using cellular data service simultaneously then this is the best product they can opt for.Great Huawei........
The gadget is wonderful, initial charge took around 2.5 hours and after that downloaded 1.5 gb of data using this but battery indicator still shows 75% battery remaining . configuring is easy and shared 3 devices with it till now. Very good huawei , this is better than micromax and cheaper thna vodafone similar device.
