He has been a member of University Grants Commission, Govt. of India, New Delhi, Distance Education Council and a member of All India Board of Management under All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of HRD, New Delhi.His fiedl of specialisation is Public Administration, Manageemnt and Education. Professro P.N.Gautam currently Principal Investigator, UGC Major Research Project, Department of Public Administration, H.P. University, Shimla, is a social scientist with a brilliant academic career. he did his M.A. in Public Administration and Master of Education from Panjab University, Chandigarh. He obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Panjab University, Chandigarh.
