Returning to the place you once called home after a long time could make you feel more estranged than cosy. Written, produced, directed by and starring Nagesh Kukunoor, Hyderabad Blues is an Indian romantic drama film that follows a man named Varun who returns to India after 12 years in the US. Varun falls in love with a beautiful Indian doctor and tries to work out an equilibrium between the local tradition of arranged matrimony and the western custom of dating. Will he manage to fulfill his romantic needs? Or are all of his attempts being performed in vain?
