I Am Kalam Reviews

I watched this movie in theater and loved it so much !
No doubt, this is one the best and sweetest movie of recent time.
However, if I talk about this DVD product, I would say DVD quality is not up-to the mark. We expect at least 576p resolution in a DVD and 5.1 Dolby Audio. But both the picture and audio quality of the DVD disappoint ! The aspect ratio of the DVD video doesn't fit properly in the screen and we can see horizontal and vertical black bars surrounding the screen ! (I know Horizontal bars are fine for widescreen ratio, but why vertical bars. We need to zoom the picture to avoid vertical bars ) Still no clue, in which aspect ratio, this movie is made...4:3, 1.85:1, 16:9 or 2.35:1...even IMDB doesn't have this info ! At least, there should not have been vertical black bars.
Movie has a very nice soundtrack, but this DVD comes with only Stereo Audio.
DVD production house need to improve the quality of this DVD for future copies.
I wish this movie releases on BluRay soon and I'll be glad to be the first buyer of "I Am Kalam" BluRay !
Please note I have rated this DVD for its poor quality. This is a great movie...No Doubt !!

The movie never makes you feel bored, though they r no commercial drama or dance or no big super star. the script is written so clearly that even after watching the movie even you feel I AM KALAM, I can achieve anything.. Thats how a movie should impresses you and make you to learn something.. I really loved this movie. Hats off to the director & entire team..

Dont expect much as you go in to watch this movie - thats when it pleasantly surprises you. Nice movie - simple story line told in a well paced manner. Best part are the child artists - they catch your eye with easy going charaterisation.

I am Kalam ...Wow...What a movie!!. Truly an enriching and Heart-touching Movie.Story is Awesome .It is Motivating and at the same time showing the tradition and customs of Indian society especially Rajastan >>This movie is not based on life of Dr. APJ Kalam although the main protagonist is inspired by Dr. APJ Kalam in the movie.>>>Both the Protagonist were simply heart touching, the way they said their dialogue is really out of the world.Really a Movie of must Watch.

Excellent. The movie will definitely touch you. All have played their roles very sincerely and honestly. Those movie makers who churn out "Kachara Movies" after spending crores of rupees should learn from this movie.

This film will surprise you and you will definitely smile back at the film .This film has something tat will touch every heart and will motivate you not only to walk down your memory lane but will also entertain you thoroughly .

The movie will fool you to be a simple one, but it is a smart one. You can't recognize many faces means there are new actors in it. They seem to put their heart out in their roles.

The lead actor, a 10-11 year old boy is enthralling. Rest seem to revolve around him nicely, including Gulshan Grover in his new avatar.

don't expect a small budget movie with lot any animation or item songs. But the script, innocent acting, ethnic scenery, small comedies, roller coaster emotional ride might make you feel like a poor Rajasthani boy fighting it out. You might cry.

If you are single, watch it alone, switching the light off.

If you have children, watch it with them. You all will have good laugh now and watery eyes then.
