Description

This book is an exam guide that is specifically tailored for students who are preparing for the bank exams conducted by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS).

This book covers every topic that’s a part of the Common Written Examination (CWE). This exam is held for assessing and recruiting probationary officers and other banking personnel.

The topics in I.B.P.S CWE Bank P.O/M.T Recruitment Guide have been divided into nine sections. Each section deals with one aspect of the exam. The nine parts of the book are Quantitative Aptitude, Data Interpretation, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Logical Reasoning, General Awareness, General English, Computer and Marketing Aptitude, and Argumentative English.

Before launching into the exam topics, the book provides an introduction to the test, and also provides study tips for students to help them prepare for the exam. Following this, the various sections are dealt with in detail.

The section on Quantitative Aptitude covers many topics including Time and Work, Unitary Method, Probability, Sequence and Series, Logarithms, Stocks and Shares, Binomial Theorem, Ratio and Proportions, Profit and Loss, Calendar, Mensuration (Two and Three Dimensions), and Partnership.

The sections on Data Interpretation and Data Sufficiency deal with reading and understanding data presented in various forms like tables and graphs, and how to analyze the data. Some of the topics in Data Interpretation are Pie Chart, Data Tables, Line Graphs, and Bar Chart & Histograms.

Part Four is divided into two sections, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. The section on Verbal Reasoning addresses topics like Series Completion, Coding Decoding, Puzzle Test, Blood Relations, Direction Sense Test, Analog, Alphabetical Quibble, Mathematical Operations, Logical Sequence of Words (Directory), and Decision Making. The Non-Verbal Reasoning section deals with topics like Pattern Perception, Paper Cutting, Rule Detection, Series, Chart Logic, and Figure Matrix.

The Logical Reasoning section covers Statement Courses of Action, Statement Arguments, Statement Conclusions, Syllogism, Inference, and Cause and Effect. Part Six covers General English, and the topics under this section are Comprehension, Sentence Completion, Sentence Correction, Spotting Errors, Antonyms, Synonyms and One Word Substitution.

The General Awareness section, true to its name, covers topics like Business and General Awareness, and Economy. Many misprints, wrong keys seen in many exercises,no proper explanations ...THIS BOOK IS WASTAGE. Highly disappointing. This book wasted an opportunity for me to read an appropriate book.Surly i need to buy another. Its not one of the books useful for students who are not taking any coaching to crack PO/SO exams. Not a complete package.
