The most cherished feeling in this entire world is just dream about your entire life. Having previously penned down bestsellers on the domain of entrepreneurship, Connect the Dots and Stay Hungry Stay Foolish, Rashmi Bansal has penned down her third book I have a Dream on the same lines. The context in which this book differs from the others is that it is centered on the topic of Social Entrepreneurship.
These books has the inspiring and interesting stories of 20 idealists who act and think like entrepreneurs, but have dedicated their lives to various causes that do good to mankind in one way or the other.
I Have A Dream is divided into three parts: Rainmakers, Changemakers and Spiritual Capitalists. The first section, Rainmakers has stores of 11 entrepreneurs whose organizations make profits but for them profit making is not the sole driving force.
The next section belongs to the Changemakers, genuine and inspirational change agents who have started movements that would have a positive impact on the society we live in. These areas range from topics ranging from education to RTI activism.
The third section, Spiritual Capitalists is about those people who have imbibed the art of spiritualism and common good.
The book covers entrepreneurial figures like Dhruv Lakra, Mirakle Couriers, Arvind Kejriwal, Parivartan and more.

I ordered this book because I like Rashmi Bansal's work, and I have a dream jst proved me right all over again. When I started reading I could feel the power of a man rising above the system, but I was thinking will Ms Bansal be able to carry the same motivation, enthusiasm till the last page, but this time she proved me wrong. I can go to the extent by saying that this is one of the best books I have read and I will always hold it close to my heart, because this book has introduced me to so many people I did not know about who are trying to clean the dirt around me, trying to make it a better place by giving up so much in their life.
Hats off to all the people who have motivated me to do something somewhere down the line, and a special thank you to Ms Bansal for telling us their story of faith, hope, struggle, good cause etc.
Would pay a thousand bucks to read this book, hundred's too less!!!
I bought this book online a few days ago and I have to say,I really believed it was going to be a great read. Unfortunately though, my expectations were shunned and the book failed at so many places.
I was really shocked to see how little the author has to say, apart from the often used "...the year was.." or the occasional description of the subject's reaction, or the deliberate mention of her hearing things from the subjects, there isn't really anything that feels like its coming from the author's pen.
The author could've just gone and made a Blog post out of this, would've cost less and not to mention saved a lot of trees.
There were so many instances when I just wanted to close the book but I decided to respect a best selling author of the nation and go through with it. I'm really trying hard to be polite but the only things I found useful were a couple of one liners and the last two pages.
I still believe Rashmi's intent is good and she means to do more than just sell stories, But one things certain, she needs to stop interviewing and start real writing.
Rashmi Bansal is a dream author and motivator to young budding entrepreneur. Both the 'stay hungy stay foolish' and connect the dots' are being used as study materials in various ED courses (including me). Waiting for her new gem in the kitty!! Expectations are very very high...
whenever something new comes from Rashmi - i just have one thing to say -- this will be story of a common man's rise to sky, his or her true experiences and at last some points to think and consider for life.
The journey of a common man to fame, not the tycoon one is covered in her books that is what make me to think and act..
Though I have not yet completed this book, but I must say that I loved reading it so far. The stories are indeed inspirational and written in a very lucid, easy to comprehend manner. Its really heartening to hear about the backgrounds of social entrepreneurs who have committed their lives for a cause, whereas majority of the middle class in India just prefer to look away and go on with their lives. Indeed a high recommended book for everyone.
