Awesome book and other top booksThere are few authors in India who write exceptionally well. Amish is one of those. I am a vivid reader and read almost all the books that come my way. This stands fifth.

God or Just a Good ManIn a world where common man is busy making spiritual guru as God, this man gave a new meaning to God. May be God is actually this way.

Great Book on Shiva... nicely written...!!!!Amish has done a well work on Indian Mythology. One should read this book if he\she is interested in Ancient History of India. He has done some great research on Shiva and presented here... Like "HAR HAR MAHADEV" means every one is mahadev... I read it on the go... hope you find this review helpful...

Party spoiler is here! There are books which are written for reading and then there are books which are written for movie making. This one falls in the latter category. Reads like a movie script.

Apart from concept, everything else is crap.Apart from the concept, everything else is crap. According to me, the book became a best seller only because of marketing!!!

Three Star : Read only for the plot!

Nice concept, but written in a very americanised language- full of slangsThe concept on which the story builds is very creative. But somehow the description seemed to me to be a 'khichdi' of scenes and story-lines from various movies. I could see scenes from Troy, 300 in the war descriptions. Then again Shiva is a character having self doubts very similar to Neo (Matrix) and needs Trinity (Sati) to remove them. The role of Oracle is played by the 'Vasudevas'. All in all a nice attempt but somehow I feel that management graduates in our country have too much proclivity for creatively packaging the product that they have lifted from various shelves and flourishing it… (Expand)

A complete let-down!Books like these may have been inspired by books like the 'The Palace of Illusions' (which was a brilliant one). While the idea of creating a fantasy based on Indian Mythology is a brilliant and inspiring idea, 'The Immortals of Meluha' falls far short of the weakest of expectations that any reader of this genre would have! Very weak writing, and not much of creativity either. My expectations hit a reef on Page 13 and further reading did nothing to improve my opinion of this author. Definitely not a good read.
