Interesting ConceptThe book is quite interesting. For someone like me who doesnt really know much about mythology this is a fair start. I understand there are many challenging concepts in the book with not much background or actual proof. But some basic stuff is quite right. And its a story after all. If you dont dig too deep and read it as a story without any bias I think it makes a compelling read. I'd say read it surely....waiting for the other 2 parts !

Readers and Reviewers....Hey ppl who are writing the review comments, the author has clearly mentioned that the book is work of fiction. I hope ppl understand what fiction means. He has used the concepts of mythology and religious beliefs to mould it into a triology. he doesnot claim that what he writes in the book has been happend the same way. I request the readers to read with an open mind, just enjoy the emotions in the book. Wat u believe abt ancient India is ur belief and the author is not claiming that it is wrong. every one has a rite to express, especially when hes writing a fiction.

The Immortals Of Meluha: Breath-taking, edge-of-the-seat readingAmish Tripathi's writing style is identical to Ashok K. Banker's (Ramayan fame), and I love it!

Great concept but bad writingThis book has a great concept, no doubt, but absolutely drab, flat and ordinary writing. It is like reading an essay written by a child in school. I am a big fan of fantasy novels and especially those that are based on Indian mythology and thats why I had picked up this book early 2010 itself. Sadly, all my excitement died out after only the first chapter when I had figured out already what the quality of writing was. The one necessary element in any fantasy writing is strong profiles of the characters, especially the leading ones, since characters in fantasy stories are always larger than lif… (Expand)

An interesting readA well written book that uses familiar mythological events and characters in a more human setting. Despite some silly references I still found myself unable to put the book down. Will definitely read the sequels coming out soon. Give this book a shot. If you like fantasy you will not regret it

Interesting but non-conceptualIn the start only of the book, author inhibits us to assume that divine Shiva is not actually a Mahadev, but a human who raised himself to the status of Mahadev by the virtue of his deeds. Seems a bit of inhibition on readers. But none the less, taking it as a story book, the imagination of author do create strings of fantasy. Overall the book is nicely and logically compiled. Recommended.

Bad EBook by flipkart, average book.Flipkart's version of this ebook is terrible. There are typos everywhere, and sometimes the book just stops making sense. The book itself is average.

Overrated novel!I read this novel because of the hype around it and i found it to be an average book. First of all i found a lot of typos in the ebook version. I'm not sure if the physical book had so many spelling and printing mistakes. As far as the story is concerned the author's style of writing was good in the beginning but later on it was so amateur. Every person and everything that seems to be happening in the story has an air of mystery but it is exagerrated to such an extent that it tends to get boring. The end of the story leaves so many questions unanswered because the author is compelling us to read… (Expand)
