This is the Hindi version of the popular English bestseller, The Immortals of Meluha, a historical fantasy novel that is a part of The Shiva Trilogy written by Amish Tripathi.
Summary Of The Book
Meluha Ke Mritunjay is the Hindi version of the first book of the Shiva Trilogy, The Immortals of Meluha.
The story is set in the land of Meluha, based around the present-day Indus Valley Civilization, which is depicted in the book as a huge empire that thrives on the banks of the river Saraswati. Meluha is the land of the Suryavanshis, and the empire is highly developed in all respects and is deemed close to being perfect. Established several centuries before the story begins by the legendary ruler Lord Ram, Meluha is now ruled by Daksha and the chief of his army, Parvateshwar.
However, all is not well in Meluha, as countless perils threaten to tear it apart.
The main problem is that the River Saraswati, around which the civilization grew, is now slowly drying up. Added to this is the ever present danger that the Meluhans face from their old enemies, the Chandravanshis.
The Chandravanshis discreetly attack Meluha with the help of the Nagas, a strange group of people who have been isolated from the society because of their various deformities. These people possess extraordinary skills in martial acts though, and a fierce hatred for all things Meluhan.
The Suryavanshis’ final hope for relief is one mystical legend, which states that in their darkest hour, when all seems to be lost, a hero will emerge, a great warrior who will lead them out of the desperate situation. This prophecy is centered on the fact that their savior will have a blue neck.
The indications from the prophecy seem to point to a nomad from the mountains of the north, called Shiva, to be their savior. Shiva is brought to Meluha, along with his tribe. In his quest to save the legendary kingdom, Shiva has another motivation in addition to being the chosen one - the beautiful princess Sati, who captures his heart.
The Suryavanshis place their fate in Shiva’s hands, and the Chandravanshis and the Nagas prepare for a confrontation with the Meluhans. Shiva has his own internal conflicts to face, besides the epic challenge waiting for him outside the city walls.

Thanks Flipkart!!
Really it is a very good book. The hindi version is also excellent. Some typing mistakes can be taken care of in the next edition otherwise it is very good in reading and the traslator has done a great job as I can imagine that translation from any language is not easy and keeping the same emotion is a great challenge. I do not agree with one of the comments because english readers can not comment on hindi version much.
The story is really very interesting and at present I am reading the second book also which is traslated by the same person. It is thrilling at times .. ek baat kahen to mazaa aa gayaa. Sundar kitaab hai aur hamen teesri kitaab ka bhi intezaar rahega.
I have found this one of the most effective book, how ever it is fiction but believe to be happened in realty. I have studied Indus Vally Civilization before this and many of the incident I found in real but some of them are truly fiction. I have no idea but many of incident mentioned in the book look like inspired by Hollywood epic movies which are based on roman and Greece kingdom. The writer successfully figured about the somras, which is now day similar to anti-oxidant therapy. However fiction but really a nice imagination. I present my congratulation to Amish for this fantastic imagination and storyline.
Thank you

It's first book from the "Shiva Trilogy" book is good and written in a very good manner.
I am not very satisfied with introduction of the book, there must be a clear summery of story .. why it becomes the reason of written this book.
Although there Author do make ameture story telling mistakes the book is generally interesting and kept my interest, and I do plan to read the sequel.
This is an extremely nice read and you will not stop reading it until you have finished it.
